"Sorry!" He shouted then ran.
"Douche." I said and rolled my eyes.
I sat on my knees and started picking up my stuffs.
"What you got there, Sophie?" A voice said.
Ugh. Sino na naman ito? I don't have enough time to entertain anyone. I really should head home
I looked up and saw Adam smiling at me.
"Hi." He said.
I smiled and said "Hi."
He sat on his knees and helped me pick up my stuffs.
"Thanks." I said. Putting my bag on my shoulder.
"No problem."
"I should head home."
"Sophie, wait. Since hindi mo ibibigay sa akin number mo and ayaw mo makipagdate, can I atleast walk you home? Please? With sprinkles on top?" He said, looking down and scratching the back of his head.
"With sprinkles on top? Seriously, I'm starting to have doubts if lalake ka ba talaga or babae or sadyang feminine ka lang." I giggled.
He laughed "And it's getting dark. You need someone to protect you, you need a knight in shining armor like me."
I coughed and said "feeler" then giggled. "Kidding. Yeah sure, you can walk me home."
He walked right next to me. "Can I carry your bag?" He asked.
"No. It's okay. It's not heavy." I said.
"Hey, can you do me a favor? Pwede ba na kahit ngayon lang, hindi ka mag eenglish?" He laughed. "Nahihirapan kase ako makikipag-usap sayo eh." I smiled "Sige, sure."
"Sooooooo.." He said.
"Sooooo?" then we both laughed.
"Okay okay. Uh, eto. Hmm. San ka pala nakatira?" He asked while looking at me.
"Wesleyan Village. Ikaw?" I answered. "Wesleyan? Talaga? Malapit lang sa amin. Dun ako sa Westcrest." He smiled.
"Ah oo. Malapit lang nga."
"So, ibig sabihin ba nyan, pwede na tayo sabay papunta sa school?"
"Ha? Seryoso ka?" I laughed.
"Joke lang." He winked. "Uy, short cut or long cut? Long cut na lang para mas matagal tayo makadating sa inyo para mas mataas yung oras ng pagkwekwentuhan natin. Okay lang ba?"
"Alam mo, ang dami ko pang assignments na gagawin ngayon pero sige pagbibigyan kita." I answered.
And we talked nonstop on almost about everything!
He told me a few things about him.
He lived in Westcrest.
Studied in Monte Cristo University when he was still in High School.
Divorced parents
Been living with his Dad
Have 2 sisters, Melmarie and Cheyenne.
Longest relationship was with a girl named Ericka Legaspi. 4 years.
He plays guitar in a band called Bro Mitzvah.
"Bakit Bro Mitzvah?" I asked.
"It's a thing with Barney Stinson. That's what he called his bachelor party."
"Who's Barney Stinson?"
He widened his eyes. "Di mo kilala si Barney Stinson?"
I raised my brow. "Sino pala yan sya?"
"Not knowing Barney Stinson is like not knowing Adolf Hitler! Barnabus 'Barney' Stinson. Isa sa mga characters sa hit na sitcom ng CBS, How I Met Your Mother."
"Ah. HIMYM?"
"Yes. Napanood mo na?"
"Hindi pa. But I've heard of it. Siguro if may time, panoorin ko."
"Sige, himym marathon tayo next time."
I smiled. I was having a really good time talking to him when it began to rain again.
"WHUUUUUUUT? Seriously?" I shouted. "Damn! Nakalimutan ko yung umbrella ko sa locker. Shit. Shit."
We ran to the nearest store for shelter.
"Ano ngayon? Hihintayin lang natin na hihinto ito uli?" I asked. I looked at my watch and it was already 6:30pm.
Oh gosh. Homework.
"Well. Since basa na tayo sa ulan, might as well enjoy it."
He took a step forward and reached for my hand.
"Miss Sophie Eriksen, are you willing to get down and dirty?"
I laughed and held his hand.
We skipped, jumped, played and danced under the rain.
"This is so fun!" I said.
Good thing my bag is waterproof. Whew.
"Look out!" He shouted.
I turned around and saw a car fast approaching.
He grabbed my shoulder and pulled me next to him at the side walk.
"That was close." I said, while watching the car pass by us.
Whoa. He just saved my life..
I smiled then turned to him, by then I realized that we were so close.
So so close.
We were so close, it looks like we are about to kiss.
Kissing distance...
My smile faded and I gulped.
I looked at him but he was already staring at me, smirking.
A cute, seductive smirk.
I blinked twice.
Butterflies were already dancing around in my stomach.
We stood like that for a few seconds when he started to lean closer.
I froze.
Oh god.
He lean much more closely then whispered "Pwede ba kitang halikan?"
SOPHIE! SNAP OUT OF IT!
My inner self shouted.
Oh my gosh. What am I going to do? I'm not ready for this..
When will I be ready for this?
I already kissed someone but it was a very long time ago.
It felt like ages!
Oh damn. What should I do?
