This is it. Today is the day.
That was my first thought as I opened my eyes.
The second thought was: He's here to walk me down the aisle.
The inevitable tears escaped as I thought of the surprise that Jay had organised for me.
I texted him last night to thank him, his response fresh in my mind.
I'll do anything to make you happy xc
How in hell I'd ended up with someone so perfect was beyond me, but I was so excited about it that I raced downstairs and started breakfast.
"Wake up everyone, today's the day." I yelled as I knocked on their bedroom doors. "Get your ass's up, we've got a wedding to prepare for."
They came down one by one; Harper, Megan and him. I was still beaming as I hugged them all.
"How are you feeling?" Megan asked.
"Oh my god, I'm so excited to be marrying the love of my life...your brother. And the gift he sent me yesterday..." I smiled as I faced him. "what can I say? Jay is the most amazing person I've ever met...besides you guys of course..." I said as I waved the spatula about.
"And you little one." I added as I rubbed my belly. "I can't believe we're getting married...today. Oh my god, I'm getting married, should I be getting ready?" I asked as I turned to see three very amused faces.
"I did it again huh?" I asked as my face heated.
Three sets of arms wrapped around me.
"It's one of the things we all love about you babe." He said and the girls agreed.
"What time is hair and make up?" Megan asked as she polished our nails.
"She should be here at about 11.00. That gives her plenty of time before the photographer arrives."
"I've got it." He called when the door bell rang and within minutes he walked in with the flowers.
"Fuck, they're beautiful." I said as I looked at the bouquets.
My tears had left me and now I was able to absorb everything that was happening.
"I'll take the buttonholes to the guys and come right back. Any messages?" He asked with a smile and we all answered at once.
He laughed as he walked out.
We all showered and watched the transformation once the beautician arrived. Even he was transfixed.
"It's time to get dressed." Harper said and I nodded excitedly.
I put on the lingerie Janet had helped me choose, silently thanking her for allowing room for my belly to grow. When I returned to my room Harper and Megan were anxious for me to put my dress on.
"Ummm actually," I began as I chewed my cheek. "Can you guys dress first?"
They both looked at me confused.
I held up my hands in surrender.
"I don't want to spend an hour blubbering and fixing up my make up. I'd really prefer to see you guys first."
Knowing how I'd been, they both agreed with my logic.
So, I still had to fix my makeup. Damn it! I knew I should have made her stay.
They looked nothing short of beautiful. Of course, they both were, but in those dresses, they looked even more so.
"Shit!" He said as he walked in the room. "I hope to God you don't upstage the bride." He said seriously.
"Not a chance in hell, but thanks." Harper said as her and Megan led me upstairs.
They both helped me dress and as I stood in front of the mirror I was stunned. I knew from last night that Jay would love the dress, but seeing it on was something else. It hugged our little one perfectly and I knew he would be ecstatic to see us both.
I faced Harper and pulled her in for a hug.
"If I don't have another baby implanted tonight, it will be a fucking miracle." I said and laughed.
I felt so much calmer today. My emotions were still there but I could control them. In exactly 1 hour and 10 minutes I would become Mrs Mia Williams and I was excited as all fuck.
"The photographer is here." He called from downstairs.
"Ready?" I asked as I looked between Megan and Harper. They nodded and we held hands as we walked downstairs, the photographer smiling as he snapped away.
"Jimmy?" I asked as he lowered the camera and his face was revealed.
"Hi Mia, you look beautiful."
I felt more than a little awkward as I pulled him into the kitchen.
"What the fuck?"
He took a deep breath before responding.
"Jay told me I had to personally deliver those photos to him. I only arrived back a week ago and he asked me to shoot your wedding pics." He held his hands up defensively and I eventually laughed.
"Okay, do your job. We wouldn't want to upset Jay." I said and winked.
