Micah couldn't help but watch as Sasha unwrapped his hands again. In three days since being there, the bruising hadn't gone away very much, and that worried him. "I haven't seen you call your mom yet," Micah pointed out. "You should do that."
"She'll try and get me to talk to my dad," Sasha said, inspecting his hands.
Micah frowned and looked at the clock. "I need to get to the shop for work."
"Can I come?" Sasha asked hopefully. Micah had made him stay home the day before.
Micah sighed and thought over it. It was probably time to explain to John and Vic who Sasha was. "Yeah, I guess. No getting anything done, though."
"God no," Sasha agreed.
Micah took them to the shop, and Sasha looked around eagerly. There were sketches and photos of tattoos hung up over the deep red color of the walls. John regarded Sasha curiously from a distance for a few minutes. "Micah..." he began tentatively. "He kind of looks like you, is there something I need to know?"
"If I was his dad I'd have been like ten," Micah cut him off quickly. He could see it coming already. "And you know I don't run towards women anyways."
John shrugged in agreement, and Sasha quickly looked over at Micah. "You're gay?" Sasha asked in surprise.
"Yes," Micah admitted.
"Oh." Sasha seemed more confused. "But you don't seem..."
"Anyone can be," Micah interjected and willed for a change of subject.
"What happened to your hands there?" John asked.
Sasha tucked them behind his back. "Accident."
John frowned slightly and went back to flipping through a portfolio and changing out some sketches. Micah sat across one of the folding chairs next to John. "Do we have any appointments?"
"Sharon's coming in to get another tattoo at two, and Mike at four to finish his sleeve. Other than that, no. We might get some piercing walk ins like usual," John answered.
Micah sighed. That meant another day of sitting around the shop, bored. "Well when does Vic come in?"
"Noon," John said. "Hoping for more funny videos out of her?"
"Fills my time." Micah shrugged simply. "Sasha, I can show you some funny stuff on the computer if you want." Micah pointed towards the shop laptop.
Sasha agreed quietly, and Micah set up the laptop between the three of them. Micah went through a run of videos Vic had found. He'd seem them all before, but they were still funny. Sasha seemed confused on a few but Micah earned a few soft laughs out of the teen.
Vic came in later, raising her eyebrows in question at Sasha.
"Don't ask," John told her. "Micah's not telling yet."
Vic snorted and dropped her bag behind the counter. "What are we all doing around the computer, then?"
"Watching videos." Micah turned the screen towards her. "Work your magic and find me something new and funny."
Vic started pulling up videos that they all watched for a while until a walk in piercing came in a little after one. They were in and out within a few minutes though.
John started to get the tattooing chair ready for Sharon though, and banished Sasha towards the front of the shop at the counter. "He's technically not even supposed to be back here," John chastised playfully.
