Down the rabbit hole we go...

Rosalina's charcoal eyes grew large as that thought crossed her head. She was far from her house when Noah had picked her up and even if he knew where she lived he would have had to find the key under the cyan flower pot to get inside.

She shook her head as if to clear those thoughts. Rosalina looked over at the door and then she looked back down at the book. Rosalina began to wonder if the book wasn't a gift or peace offering, but a threat. If Noah knew where she lived then she would know where Camden lived. Camden and Rosalina may not have been good friends, but Rosalina would hate herself if he did anything to her because of Rosalina.

Rosalina made a strange sound at the thought before hearing someone's loud laughter from downstairs. She when quiet before trying to listen to their conversion. From the voices Rosalina realized it was Noah and Quinn. Slowly she pushed off the bed and walked over to the door. Rosalina pressed her ear to the wooden door before she began to listen.

She couldn't make out what they were saying, but she heard her name a few times. Rosalina thought she had heard Lilly a few times as well, but she couldn't be sure. Their words seemed to be slurred together as if they were drunk or at least drinking.

Rosalina almost laughed at the idea of Quinn and Noah getting drunk.

Almost.

She sighed before going back over to the bed and pushing herself between the sheets and the blankets. Then Rosalina closed her eyes. After a few minutes Rosalina welcomed the world of dark, empty loneliness with a smile.

At least she could escape him in her sleep.
