{Scarlett's POV}

I sat next to his bed waiting. It had been hours and I was growing worried. Why isn't he waking up?

"He'll be fine," Cora said sitting next to me.

"You don't know that," I mumbled.

"Yes, I do. Alara never messes up. That's one thing I do know about her." She said sighing.

"You need sleep. You've been up all night, and that isn't good for either of you." She said and I sighed placing a hand on my stomach.

"I hate this feeling," I mumbled and Cora looked at me confused.

"This feeling that shakes you to the core. That I feel so dependent on him. I love him so much and the mere thought of losing him kills me. You don't understand, I felt the snap of our bond. It was like the string that tied us together ripped in half. A-and it hurt so bad." I choked up on the last part as tears started to brim my eyes.

I felt her rub my back.

"It's okay, he's okay." She said and I looked over to him wiping my tears.

"Go lay down, the second he wakes up, I'll let you know." She said and I shook my head.

"Dammit, Scarlett. If not for me, do it for the baby." She said pointing to my stomach.

"Please, you're not just thinking about yourself anymore." Glancing at Christian I nodded.

"The second he wakes," I said and she nodded.

"I'll come to get you."

I laid down for hours and couldn't fall asleep. I was sick to my stomach and nothing seemed to make that feeling go away. I felt empty. Nothing was filling that hole in my chest like Christian used to. I felt like I needed a way out. Was this why my real father killed himself? The emptiness that lurked in your chest?

Quickly sitting up I covered my mouth running towards the bathroom. I fell to my knees in front of the toilet as I let out what I had previously eaten earlier. I seemed to be crying a lot lately. I felt the tear drip down my face.

My hair was soon pulled back and shocks rushed down my spine as fingers brushed gently against my neck. I turned around standing to my feet and threw my arms around Christian.

"I was so worried." I sobbed out.

"Shhh, I'm here now, Scarlett." He said holding me tightly.

"I was worried when I saw you on that field. Why would you go there? You could have hurt you or our child, or both!" He said and I pulled away slightly.

"I destroyed the place, Christian. There isn't that gas anymore. They don't have the place to make it nor the ingredients." He placed his hands on the sides of my face.

"I'm happy you did, but I'd rather you alive than dead. Please never pull something like that again." I nodded pulling from his grasp and walked to the sink and grabbed my toothbrush.

"I love you," Christian said from behind me as I brushed my teeth. His arms circled around my waist.

After brushing my teeth I turned facing him.

"I love you too." I wrapped his arms around his neck.

"I do wish I was there to see you kill all those hunters in one motion." I let out a small laugh.

"Desperate times call for desperate measures." I joked.

He leaned down capturing my lips and I felt him smile into the kiss, and much to my disappointment he pulled away.

"I'm starved, let's go get dinner." He said and I nodded.

"Wait... I was told that Cora would inform me the minute you were awake. She didn't." I said.

"That was because the minute I was awake, I came to see you. Much to the protest of the doctors, I needed to see you." I stared at him in awe.

"You need to see the doctors and make sure you're okay," I said and he shook his head.

"I feel fine. I will after dinner, how about that?" Reluctantly nodding we headed downstairs.

"I'm telling you it's going to be a boy, I just know it," Christian said and I shook my head.

"It's going to be a girl. Alara said it runs in the family." I was determined it was a girl.

"Nope, it's a boy." He said as he ate.

"Fine, what name are you thinking if it's a boy?" I asked.

"Eligh. I also like Alexander." He said and I smiled.

"Those are nice."

"And for a girl?" He asked.

"I'm thinking... Rosemarie Elizabeth Spur." He grinned.

"You've really thought about this," he said amused.

"Well Duh! It's our kid."

"Our kid... wow," he said leaning back in his chair.

"I never thought that I'd be able to have this," he said and I smiled.

"And why's that?"

"I figured I'd never find my mate, and my family would force me into marrying some bimbo." I couldn't help but let out a small laugh.

"And now?"

"And now... I look at the woman of my dreams every morning, every day, every night, and I just can't get enough of her." I smirked leaning closer.

"She seems nice."

"Mhm. She's quite nice. In many ways." I gasped looking at him as he winked.

"Should I show you how?" he asked standing and I laugh throwing my head back.

"You Mr, have to see the doctors like you said you would." He groaned and I smirked.

"Much love."
