You watched their heads hit the ground; a sigh escaped your mouth as you thought about who they may have been in their past life. A mother, father, daughter, son. A teacher, policeman... And what are they now?

"A rotten piece of walking flesh..." You muttered taking the gun from over your watch post placing it over your back.

You looked over to Kate who held her rifle in front of her. She had long black hair that neatly sat around her porcelain face. She's been with you since before the outbreak. When it all started, you vowed never to leave each other's side.

"Kate open the gate would'Ya? I'm going to head to fetch whatever those fuckers have got on em'. Also get Hunter." You ordered

Your 'Sanctuary' was called The Grove. The Grove was small, but it kept you all going. There were around 15 of you. You being the leader. The only unfortunate problem you had with your group was the fact you had deals with the saviors; they'd come every Tuesday to take what they wanted.

You wandered out the gate and looked to the walkers that led on the floor, their growls fading into silence. You knelt down beside them and began to pat them down checking the pockets. One held a machete and an M9 you smiled and placed them in your bag. You whistled loudly and looked to the side, watching as the giant Doberman ran to you.

"C'mon Hunter." You pet his ears. You stood from your spot and looked up to begin walking.

A soft engine roaring could be heard just in front of you, you raised your head slowly, leaning on one knee. Hunters ears perked up as he snarled in the direction.

"God damn it... So much for scavenging. Hunter back inside! Kate! Get the others; we have company."

A car was driving down the small pathway that separated The Grove from any of the main roads. You sighed and lightly scoffed as you stood from your spot glancing towards the trucks.

A man got out the truck, striding over to you while another group of men got out behind.

"Simon, you're early?"

"Couldn't keep me away from this place. Oh, and I brought you a gift." He smirked

You sighed and tilted your head.
