Before I start "Mija" Means 'Daughter' literally would translate to 'my daughter' it's "mi hija" together. Okay, continue.

{Scarlett's POV}

I threw her door open with a great amount of force startling her.

"Mija?" She asked looking at me.

"Me mentiste!" I yelled. {You lied to me!}

"About what, Mija?" She asked standing from the couch she was sitting on.

"Are you my mother?" I asked hesitantly.

"Scarlett? What are you-"

"Don't lie to me! Don't...I can't take it. Am I your real daughter?" She stared at me with a shocked look.

"I- Mija.."

"Im not even your hija! Am I?!" She flinched from the harshness of my voice.

"You—I—no you're not." She said and I gasped.

"Were you ever going to tell me?!"

"Yes...eventually." Which probably meant never.

"You stole me." I said and she shook her head.

"Please sit, Scarlett. Just let me explain, that's all I ask." She pleaded and I gritted my teeth walking and sitting on the couch.

"No Scarlett, I would never steal a kid. I was friends with your real mother's husband. Your mother's death took a toll on him. I didn't think he was going to do anything irrational. He asked me and your...current father to watch you one night." She hesitated saying father and I sighed.

My whole life has been a lie.

"I didn't know why, but I didn't ask questions. I just thought he may have needed a night alone. The next day he didn't show when he was supposed to and before I could even look for him, news broke out. Your father had killed himself. He couldn't live without his mate. He gave all rights to me on a piece of paper. That is why he left you with me. He knew i'd raise you right and as one of my own. I love you Mija, and nothing will ever change that. You are still my daughter in my eyes, even if I am no longer a mother in yours." Tears brimmed my eyes as I looked down.

"Why hide this from me? Why?" I asked.

"Because they would find you, and they would take you from me." She said and my eyes widened.

"Who?"

"The coven." My mind went back to Alara.

"Im related to Alara Lavender aren't I?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yes. Why do you ask?"

"Because I just witnessed her close up." Moms eyes widened and she gasped.

"You have to watch out for her, she knows you're powerful, there's no telling what she will try to pull."

"Mom, she bowed down to me. She said my real mom was powerful. What does that even mean?"

"Your mother was the covens leader at the time. When she died, her magic went to you. That's why she is scared of you, bowing down to you, but don't believe her act. I have seen that whole coven turn on one another, why do you think there on only two descendants living? They all were power hungry!"

"Why am I just a wolf then? Why don't I have magic?"

"You have to learn magic to do it. I will admit, I did have a witch block that trait from you."

"What?!"

"I couldn't have you having a temper tantrum and blowing the house up now could I? You didn't know it and I didn't know how to teach you! What else was I supposed to do, Scarlett?" I guess she was right there.

"It's just a minor blockage. It's all still there. It's simple to unblock if you ever wished to learn. That magic though is so dark, I would never wish that upon on my worst enemy. It changes you, and not for the good." I thought back to Alara once more, everything about her screamed dark magic.

Her all black clothing, the aggressiveness. Her eyes. It was terrifying.

"I need some air." I mumbled standing up.

Christian had his arms wrapped around me as we laid in bed; my head laid on his chest.

We didn't talk. He didn't bring it up and I appreciated that. He just sat and comforted me.

"Your coronation is soon. Are you excited?" He asked clearly trying to get my mind off things and I looked up with a small smile.

"Of course. What day?" I asked.

"Well it's in about three days." My eyes widened as I looked at him and he let out a small laugh.

"Christian!"

"I told you a few days ago that it was this coming week. Plus, what did you think you were gonna do? Not be a queen? You have to have a coronation."

"Well I obviously knew that, but I don't know. I guess it's just a shock. How will it be? Is it exciting?" I asked and he sighed.

"There are going to be a lot of important people there. You will be called forward. Asked a couple questions and then you have to sign a few things. Someone high up from the church will be holding your crown. You will walk up kneeling on both knees kinda bowing your head, he will start the small ritual as he places it on your head, thus making you Queen."

"Wow." I said and he nodded.

"It's a lot, but in the end it's always worth it."

I smiled.

"Will they take me? Knowing I'm...part witch?" I asked hesitantly.

"Of course. Witches are not hated. In fact they are quite adored. They thought they were cursing us, when in fact they were blessing us. Plus, not all witches are bad." He kissed the top of my head.

"Alright."

"Now, lets get some sleep. We've had a long day." I looked up at him once more nodding and he leaned down capturing my lips with his giving me a passionate kiss.

I knew what it meant.

Everything will be okay.

"I love you." I spoke softly as I turned on my side closing my eyes to hold back the tears wanting to be unleashed.

His arm wrapped around my waist from behind as he placed a kiss on the base of my neck.

"I love you too, Scar."
