*A week before Halloween*
-------------------Raines POV----------------------
"Hey, are you guys going to Jen ricaddo's Halloween party on Halloween?" Calvin asks us, when we are all sitting at the table during lunch.
"I don't know yet," Veronica says.
"I think I will," I comment.
"What are you guys dressing up as?" Seth pitches in.
"I'm thanking Malificent from Sleeping Beauty," I say.
"You would totally rock that, sweet and evil," Cade grins at me.
"Thanks," I blush and look down.
"I'm thinking maybe like a football player," Alec pipes in. We were having fun with this, and he comes along and makes it boring.
Then a bell rings, signaling the end of lunch, so I have to get to class. I leave, and Cade follows me.
After classes end that day, Cade and I decide to go costume shopping. He picked to be Aladdin from the movie Aladdin. We go to a costume shop, and then we both end up finding costumes . We purchase them, and we go back to the dorm.
"Are you excited for the party?" Cade asks me.
"I don't know," I admit.
"Tell me, why are you nervous?" Cade asks me.
"I don't know," I lie. I know exactly why, I don't want to go.
"Babe, you're lying," Cade tells me.
"No I'm not," I protest.
"Yes you are, you always twirl your hair when you lie," Cade says. Sure enough I'm twirling my hair. I sigh.
"Can you please just tell me, you can trust me Raine," Cade puts his hand on my shoulder.
"I guess, like what if something happens?" I ask him.
"Like what?" Cade asks me softly.
"What if someone touches me?" I ask him in a whisper.
"I won't let that happen," Cade wraps his strong arms around me.
"Thanks," I bury my face in his chest.
"Anytime princess, anytime," Cade presses his lips to my forehead.
"Can we watch a movie?" I look up at Cade.
"Let's do it," Cade says as he turns on the tv, to Netflix. He selects divergent.
"Ooh! I adore this movie!!" I squeal with excitement.
"Great, another squealing girl," Cade mutters under his breath.
"Hey you love it though," I smirk.
"No I don't," He denys.
"The books are way better than the movies," I comment as we watch the movie.
"I agree," Cade says.
I stare at him. "You read?"
"Yeah, don't be fooled by the bad boy impression," Cade smiles.
"That's cool, what other books have you read?" We then launch into a conversation about books, through the rest of the movie.
After that we go to bed.
*Halloween night*
Tonight is the night of the Halloween party. I've been preparing since classes got out for the day.
I looked up make up tutorials on you- tube for Malificent, and there's surprisingly quite a few.
After I finish my dark make up look, I pin my hair to the top of my head, and stick the hat, horn things on top of my head. After I do that, I change into my costume.
"Hey Raine whoa-" Cade stops short when he sees me.
"That outfit is hot on you!" Cade exclaims.
"Thanks," I blush under my heavy makeup.
"Let me become Aladdin, and then we can leave," Cade says, as he changes in his closet.
After he is done, we get in his car, and leave. When we arrive, the house dosent look that creepy at all, more like a lame attempt at Halloween.
"This looks kinda lame," Cade tells me.
"I agree, it looks like a failed attempt at Halloween," I smirk.
"No kidding, do you want to go in for a little while, and then maybe go trick or treating?" Cade suggests.
"That would be fun," I tell him, as he finds a parking spot, and we get out. We enter the house, and there is a cauldron with green smoke coming out of it. The party is already going, and sweaty teenagers are dancing to horrible music.
"Let's go see if there's any candy!" Cade shouts over the loud music.
"Ok," Cade grasps my hand, and pulls me through the crowd.
We eventually find the food table, and sure enough there is candy, and a lot of it. I grab a handful of the individual wrapped bars, and I shove them in my large purse I have with me.
Cade takes a lot as well, and then he stand close beside me, so we can talk.
"Want to leave, and go through the back?" Cade shouts.
"Yes, let's do it!" I exclaim, and Cade and I go through the door together.
"That was lameeeeee," Cade laughs once we're outside.
"I agree," I giggle.
"Want to go trick or treating?"
"I thought you'd never ask."
