Earth has been destroyed by creatures that the humans call space giants. They came in waves through holes in the sky, sucking everything and everyone into their void-like bodies. Including humans. But a few still live.
They call themselves the Survivors. A small group of eleven humans remain with Keller Marks as their leader. He hides the group underground, fighting the giants whenever possible.
When tall and mysterious Orion stumbles into camp one evening, Keller has no idea exactly how difficult life is about to become.
