Chapter 31

Sebastian waited impatiently at the bar that connected to the arcade his brother told him to be at. He checked his watch, “Already an hour late,” he grumbled under his breath. He waved the bartender over and ordered another drink when someone called from behind: “Brother!”

“Finally,” Sebastian muttered, turning around to face the brown hair blue eyes guy who is walking towards him. “How have you been, Mason?”

“Fine and you?” mason answered with a huge grin on his face.

“I’m okay,” Sebastian answered with a curt nod of his head. He watched his brother warily, wondering what he was up to.

Mason tried to grin happily to his brother, but it turned out to be more of a smirk than a grin. It made his electric blue eyes light up.

“How’s everything…. Down there?”

“Are you asking me if I have herpes?” mason joked.

Sebastian laughed, “No, I meant how’s hell?” he clarified.

“It’s great, mostly because everyone listens to me.”

“Of course,” Sebastian rolled his eyes, his brother never wanted to be king, but it seemed like the only way to raise one’s status, so that he can blah blah bah….. live happily ever after with the love of his life….. er… existence. Sebastian shook his head to get rid of the long family history and turned back the mason, “I hear Michael is causing some problems down there.”

Mason scowled, “That bastard. I plan to drop by his secret hide out sometime this month, I’ll show him what happens when he messes MY world up.”

“Well then, I will certainly accompany you, my brother.” Sebastian offered.

“Thank you.”

“So where exactly is his base?” Sebastian took out his ipone and prepared to take the full address down on the note pad.

“Oh humans with their pathetic street names and postal codes….. I only remember that it’s this abandoned train station outside of this town, which is coincidentally the town where you live now.”

“Mason, are you sure you want to go there? I mean, he literally want to kill you.”

“Don’t worry about me so much, dear brother. After all, I was chosen to be king of hell for a reason, you know.”

“Yes, of course,” Sebastian sighed, “I just don’t want to see you killed, that’s all.”

“Aw, look at that, after all these years, we are still best brother-buddies!”

“Nah, I just don’t want to be a babysitter for eternity.” Sebastian rolled his eyes again; Mason was still in love with himself.

Mason developed a sudden interest in his new leather boots. “Yeah… about that…” he looked up nervously to his younger brother and sighed deeply, “I’m sorry about what happened.”

“Do you want to meet him?”

“Uh, sure.” Mason answered uncertainly. “But don’t tell him he’s—“

“I won’t, don’t worry.”

“Uh… does he… um… have any problems? Anything I can do? Maybe send a few guards to serve him or something?” Mason offered.

“You don’t need to send anyone, he’s fine. Just some girl problems, though.”

“I guess that runs in the family.” Mason smiled, thinking about his TRAGECT love story few centuries back. “Have you seen…. Helena?”
