-Demi's POV-

I picked up Ally at her house the next morning, and after sharing a long kiss we made our way to school, no sign of Ryan.

"I don't get why he's bothering you so much, what does he want?" I said angrily.

Ally opened her locker and answered, "we both know what he wants. He thinks I'm gonna be easy, that's why he's targeting me."

"Well he's a douche. And next time he does something to you, I'm getting my security guard involved."

"And maybe those fans," She suggested.

I nodded and laughed, closing her locker for her then following into our first class.

"You wanna come over for dinner tonight?" I offered as we took our seats.

"I can't," Ally answered, "my Dad has a big announcement or something."

"Really? What's it about?"

"I don't know, he said it was a surprise. I'll let you know though," She replied.

It baffled me how Ally never stressed about anything, she was always so calm and cool about everything, the exact opposite of me.

-Ally's POV-

Demi dropped me off in my driveway once the school day was over, and I made my way into the noisy house.

"How was your day sweetheart?" My dad asked, kissing the top of my head.

"It was fine," I shrugged.

I put my empty bag on the floor and sat myself on the couch, pulling out my phone to text Mia.

"So when are we going to meet this girlfriend of yours?" He questioned me.

"Maybe if you were home more often you could meet her," I retorted.

"Woah. Someone's in a mood?"

I ignored him and went back to my phone, immediately sending Mia a text.

'I saw Ryan after school, he was hanging out outside and winked at me but didn't say anything. ahhh why is he here?'

'Omg, did you tell Demi?? Or did she see him?'

'No she didn't and I didn't tell her. She said she's gonna get security involved next time.'

'Don't you want that to happen though?'

'No Mia, I still care about him..'

'OMG, do you still have feelings for him?? Ally he cheated on you, played you, beat you up, wtf?'

'I know but I loved him, it's not so easy to get over him'

"Ally! Dinner!" Mom called from the dining room.

I shoved my phone into my pocket and took a seat at the table next to Jordan.

"Your father has a very important announcement," Mom said.

"Yes, well," He began, "I've been offered a promotion, at a new office in Boston."

I froze, at the thought of leaving LA.

"Y-you're not thinking of taking it, are you?" I stuttered.

He hesitantly answered, "I already accepted it."

I shoved my fork onto my plate, causing a loud crash and making Gavin burst into tears.

"Listen to me, Ally. It's a huge promotion and I would get an increased salary and big bonus, your Mom wouldn't have to work anymore, which is better for the twins. It'll be a better life," Dad explained.

"For you! Not for me! I've grown up here, I love it here! I don't want to leave my friends, what about Mia and Demi? Did you even think about how I would feel about this?" I shouted.

He looked at me, speechless. I turned towards the door, and made my way into my room, slamming my door.

I called Demi and tried to wipe away my tears, but more came to take their place.

"Hey Ally," She said softly.

"Demi," I sobbed, "I'm moving to Boston."

"R-really? That was the announcement?"

"Yeah. My Dad got offered a promotion, and he accepted it. Demi he didn't even think of how I would feel!" I sobbed.

"He obviously was thinking of you, if he was thinking of having a better life, you're involved in that. When are you moving?"

"I don't know, I didn't stay long enough to ask," I replied embarassingly.

"That's okay babe."

"I'm gonna miss you so much."

"I'll miss you too, but after this school year I'll be able to visit you."

"You will?"

She giggled, "I go to New York all the time. Boston's not too far."

"I can't stand the thought of not seeing you everyday," I admitted.

"Ally it would've happened anyway. You're going to college next year and I'm not. I'm working in the studio and I'll be going on tour later next year."

I let the silence speak for me.

"It'll be okay. This is not the end of us, I promise you. Don't worry about it, try not to stress. Okay?"

"Alright," I said, a smile forming on my face.

"I'll see you tomorrow. Dinner tomorrow night?"

"Sure. Bye babe," I said as I hung up the phone.

A while later there was a soft knock on my door, most likely from my Dad, which I ignored.

"Ally, can I come in?" He asked.

"I'm studying!" I lied.

"Alright," He sighed, saddness in his voice. "Goodnight, I love you."

I guess he thought I'd be super excited for this, a new beginning, a new life.

But the truth was I was so scared of starting over.

I had always been horrible at making friends, I'd known Mia for such a long time, and Demi came onto me.

I didn't want new friends, a new house, or a new life. All I want is for things to stay the same.
