The Coffin

Peacefully you lie,

In your wooden bed.

Just a little time left,

to gaze the beauty of death.

Your lips have lost the rosy colour,

Your skin looks so pale,

Your eyes are closed,

by someone I do not know.

Darling,

Let me see what I adore.

Smile to me,

just once more.

I know this is a nightmare I won't wake from.

No matter how much I beg or plead,

You won't come back to me.

The reaper has you now,

All alone you are,

In his cold embrace,

You left without me,

How can that be?

Now that all hope is gone,

I wonder what went wrong.

What power made you feel so bold,

What fearsome might took your soul?

Will he take mine as well?

If I'd follow you dear,

To the land of death,

Would you wait for me with open arms,

With flame of love in your chest?

Would your lips curl into a smile,

Would a sparkle light up your eyes?

Or would it all be in vain,

Would you still lie buried in your grave?

While I still wonder,

While I still prepare,

Let there be no thunder,

Let there be no storm,

Just peaceful wind,

to caress your restless soul.

One cut and I'm there,

Please,

wait for me dear.
