SIX DAYS LATER

Sera wasn't habituated to waking up next to somebody. She wasn't accustomed to having cosy blankets wrapped around her and a comfortable mattress supporting her back. She wasn't familiar with having a welcoming and warm presence behind her. She wasn't used to anything anymore.

She barely remembered landing in Los Angeles the previous night. She could only recall how she got into a fancy car and fell asleep on the hard leather, an arm around her shoulders and a chin resting on her head.

Stirring slightly, she groaned and blinked a few times, trying to adjust her eyes to the bright sunlight pouring into the room. Through her blurry vision, she could see decorated white walls and antiques scattered across fancy shelves and chests of drawers. Her eyebrows knitted together in slight confusion, and she lifted the sheets, seeing her bare legs. Her eyes widened as she felt herself wake up, her sudden movements waking up the man beside her. "Sera? What're you doing?"

"Tony? Where the hell are my pants?" The woman asked quickly, and Tony sat up, scratching his head. The man released a yawn, and Sera smacked his arm, growing concerned. "Tony!"

"When we got in last night you were too tired to get into pyjamas so you took your jeans off and jumped straight into bed. I didn't look or anything, you threatened to cut off my balls if I did that." He muttered tiredly, suppressing another yawn. He looked over at her and smiled like a dope. "You know, you're really pretty."

Sera glanced back at him and rested her hand on his cheek. There was a small amount of stubble growing, and she smiled softly at the man. His dark hair was sticking up in all directions and his eyes were slightly red and droopy from lack of sleep. Still, he looked like a lady killer. Over the last few days, she had tossed the idea around in her head, as the general idea of spending time with Tony Stark away from her home wasn't what she thought she'd be doing at the beginning of the month. But, here she was, staring him in the face and allowing her lips to curve up at the sight of him. "You're pretty too, I guess."

"What time is it?" Tony muttered, his being tired but his eyes bright. He leaned over Sera and lifted up the clock at her bedside. It took him a few seconds to focus on the numbers, but once he did, he sighed in relief. "We've still got an hour."

"What?" Sera asked softly, watching as he sat up and ran a hand through his hair. He glanced back as he caught her staring and smirked, leaning down and pressing a kiss to her nose. Sera's face scrunched up and he laughed as she pushed him back onto the bed. "What's in an hour?"

"The rents are leaving." Tony shut his eyes and placed his arms behind his head, soaking in the natural light. It was supposed to be winter, but it was still somewhat warm in the city of Malibu. "They're vacationing somewhere, I can't remember where. We're lucky we caught them during their busy schedule."
