Zoom in so you can erase the parts better. On the second picture is the size and brush I used for this eraser.

Erase the parts where you don't want the smoke covering it, as you can see, there are some parts that are like "over" the text, this is for the effect

Put the opacity back to "100%", now you can see the smoke "over" the text, which can give the effect that the text is "inside" the smoke itself.

ADDITIONAL EFFECTS TO MAKE IT MORE REALISTIC:

Make the texts on "Overlay" mode (You can see it beside the opacity) then right click, "Blending Effects

Edit "Spread" to "5%" and "Size" to "20p pixels"

Make sure that "Drop Shadow" is still in check (along with a little bit editing on the structure), Click "Inner Glow" and don't change anything
