“Honey I’m home!” I called out. I was only greeted my silence. Figures, my parent’s wouldn’t be home. I’m kind of glad they aren’t That means I get away with more crap while they’re gone! I walked through the sitting area and to the back yard. All of the floors were either marble, or cherry oak wood. Only my room had plush black carpet. The rest of the house seemed like a museum. Nice to look at, but you don’t want to touch anything in fear you might break it by just looking at it the wrong way. Which is why when I have parties I do it out here. Stepping onto the large deck I saw acres and acres of land rolling out before me. We had a huge swimming pool that had a built in waterfall and a cave you could swim in for privacy. Yes, this was the life for me. And I loved every second of it! Taking off my shirt revealing my nicely muscled body I dove in head first into the pool. Swimming erases everything in my mind. Soon I just swim lap after lap.

Chapter 2:

Gordon’s POV:

“Mom! I know! But seriously, you’ve been gone with dad for the past three days! When are you coming home?” I asked as I ran a hand through my hair in frustration. I may act like a d!ck sometimes, but I do miss my parents. When they were here they were great! I heard her sigh into the phone, “I know honey, and I’m sorry, but this is a huge business opportunity for your father and I. You understand don’t you?” She asked. I heaved out a groan and shut my eyes.

“Yes mom. I understand. Have fun wherever you are right now. Love you.” I hung up without giving her a chance to respond. Groaning I threw myself onto my huge bed and stared up at the ceiling. I was so sick of this! Seventy percent of the time they’re gone!

“Stop being such a cry baby.” I muttered to myself. If my friends saw me like this they’d laugh at me all the way into next week! Shaking off this feeling I hopped up and threw on a white wife-beater and some basketball shorts. I needed to throw some hoops. “Jenna! I’m going to go outside for a while!” I called out to our maid. She was this little old lady who’s been with our family since I was born. She’s the only one who I’m respectful towards. That and the fact she’d skin my hide if I mouthed off to her.

“Okay Gordy! Have fun!” She called out from somewhere in our large house. She was the only one who could get away with calling me Gordy. I hated that nickname! Jogging outside it was a nice warm day. I really hope this weather lasts until this weekend. Grant it we leave tomorrow, but with Longview’s weather you never know. (A/N So true! One time it snowed, hailed, rained, and was sunny all in one day!)
