"So..." Aiden strolled up to me, hands behind his back and a sheepish look on his face.
"What are you up to?" I asked, warily. I glanced at him before returning to the potato I was peeling.
"Nothing!" Aiden exclaimed. "But I was wondering..." He leant against the kitchen side. He revealed a daffodil. "...If you wanted to go on a date with me?"
Gasping, I dropped the potato and peeler and hugged my mate. "Of course!" My cheeks flushed pink as I took the daffodil from his hands. It smelt sweet and fresh, like summer itself.
"About damn time!" Nickoli called from the living room. "How many times have you guys banged?!"
Aiden gasped. "Nickoli!" He yelled, embarrassed.
Laughing, I hid in my jumper, blushing. Aiden ran into the living room and pounced on Nickoli, who was cackling like a witch.
"hey!" Nick squealed as Aiden whacked him with a cushion.
"What's going on?!" William demanded, striding into the room. He grabbed a large cushion and hit Aiden over the head with it, knocking him off of Will's mate.
Laughing harder, I clutched my belly. They're completely stupid.
Aiden retreated quickly as Will grabbed another cushion, smirking evilly. "Mwahaha!" Will roared as Aiden fled, hiding behind me.
"Such a baby!" I laughed as Aiden mock-whimpered and pouted.
"Protect me!" He smiled. He kissed my cheek. "So we're going out tonight at 5 o'clock!"
He nodded. "Yup! Doesn't matter what you wear. You'd look beautiful in anything." He kissed me and grabbed a colander from the kitchen unit. He placed it on his head and jogged back into the living room, grabbing a cushion in each hand- ready for attack.
'He's adorable!' Leona cooed. ----
I was wearing some navy blue jeans, my black and white sneakers and a long sleeved, cameo-green shirt. I tucked my shoulder length hair behind my ear as the clock struck 5 o'clock.
Wondering down stairs, I could see no one in sight.
"Hello?" I called out as I passed a window. The sun was still in the sky, as the nights are now shorter. "Aiden?"
I rounded the corner and came face to face with Aiden. He was wearing a white t shirt that hugged his chest and blue jeans. "You look lovely, as always, Jamie." He kissed my cheek.
"So, where are we going?" I asked, smiling.
"It's a surprise." Aiden winked.
"Are you joking?!" I exclaimed.
"Nope." Aiden smiled.
Excitement bubbled up in my stomach as we pulled up outside a building. "Trampolining!"
We rushed out of Aiden's car and into the building. The man behind the desk told us the rules- no shoes or bare feet, etc etc and quickly led us to a large room.
Once in it, we saw that there were trampolines all over the room, even on different levels and platforms. We were stood on a raised platform, with trampolines directly below us.
"Are we the only ones here?" I asked.
Aiden nodded. "I booked the entire room just for us!"
I squealed. "Thank you!" and kissed him.
Gingerly, I approached the edge of the platform, before grabbing Aiden's hand. Together, we leapt off of the edge, hitting the elastic-like floor, before bouncing straight up again.
My hair flew out behind me as I jumped up and down, doing the occasional flip or twist. Aiden laughed as he flew through the air, upside down, before landing on his back.
"Let's play a game!" I panted, steady myself.
"Sure." Aiden breathed hard. "Go hide and I'll-"
"Sir!" Someone called from the door. "Your phone is ringing!"
"I'll be right back." Aiden smiled and bounced towards the door.
Whilst I waited for him to return, I jumped casually, every time my stomach lifted and fell and my heart soared. It felt nice to be happy and not to worry, but I knew it wouldn't last forever.
"Jamie!" Aiden called from the door. I bounced over.
He looked grave. "I'm sorry, but we need to go, now."
--- ---- ----
William's eyes glowed bright gold as his hands lashed out at our mother. He hissed loudly. "You're a liar!"
Mother snarled and unsheathed her claws from her fingers and began slicing them through the air at him.
"Mum! Will!" I yelled, clamouring out of the car as we pulled up.
Emma and William fought violently, hissing and snarling like stray cats. I looked passed them and saw Chase watching helplessly, his arm slung around Grace.
'She's awake!' Leona exclaimed.
My aunts face was grey, as if ill, but she was awake! Alive!
Emma struck out, slashing William's cheek and causing blood to seep out of his skin. He yowled in pain and roared angrily.
"What is going on?!" Aiden demanded loudly. His voice was rich with his Alpha tone, causing everyone to halt in respect.
Emma whipped round, her short brown hair flailing madly around her maniacal green eyes. "Jamie!" She clutched my arms tightly. "You can't believe anything he says! He's lying!"
"I am not! She's the liar here!" William growled. He went towards her again, but Nickoli wrapped his arms around Will's waist-pulling his mate backwards.
"What is going on?" Aiden demanded again, pushing Emma away from me. Her nails left little moon shaped dents in my skin. "William why are you fighting with your mother?"
"She-" he pointed at Emma "is not my mother! She isn't Chase's mother either! She's been lying about it for years!"
Shocked, my mouth fell open. "What...?" I whispered.
"She is only Jamie's mother! Grace is our mother!" He roared.
Emma stared him.
"Emma poisoned Grace." He set his mouth in a straight, thin line. "And Chase and I are next."
