CODEX Text || Yandere [Male] X Reader/Oc ||

Episode ♛4♛

Y/N blushed as she scratched her cheek , " Excuse me .." She began , gaining the attention of the cashier and causing him to stare at her strangely for her choice of clothes . She , judging from her feminine voice , looked suspicious. 

" May i see ..underneath the counter please ? " she asked politely , watching as a deadpanned expression appeared on the male's face . " What ? " he asked , thinking that he might've heard her wrong and finding that the weirdness of this stranger increasing . 

Her blush darkening and feeling highly embarrassed , " Uhm ..nevermind ." She mumbled lowly but loud enough for her to be heard by the worker , and turned around , walking in a fast pace away from the one of the many fast food restaurants . 

' That was really embarrassing..' She thought , ' He was probably thinking that i was suspicious but nonetheless..i shouldn't do that again . ' 

Y/N thought that CODEX was a secret game between chosen users from what she had observed so far , being exposed would lead to chaos and a high chance of her being 'taken care of ' (READ;KILLED) by the insane person who had started the game . Asking a worker to let them search beneath the counter was suspicious , they would look at the screen as well and be highly confused as to where it had come from ..

And then that would lead to investigation , which she couldn't let happen if she values her life . The owner of the CODEX game was probably tracking all of them , and he would know who was the cause of the game exposure . 

 Sighing , she glanced over her shoulder , back at the worker to see him with a weirded out expression but still working as usual. Not thinking of checking underneath the counter , much to her luck . 

It was stupid of the worker but Y/N was thankful . She internally berated herself for her stupidity and carelessness , how could she call herself an intelligent person if she keeps being stupid and careless ? She was lucky that the worker was stupid enough to ignore and forget what she had said .  

 Relieved , she glanced away and looked around , seeing many people occupying seats and enjoying their unhealthy food . None of them looked to be a CODEX game user ..but wouldn't the game users disguise themselves into an average and unnoticeable character..? 

Unlike her , of course . 

She once again felt embarrassed at her stupid choice of clothing , but didn't make any move of removing the scarf and the sunglasses . 

Whirling around , she was about to try figuring out how to get inside each of the restaurants from their backdoors when ..she suddenly bumped into someone . Which caused her to almost fall into the ground but thankfully she was grabbed by the shoulders , being steadied . 

Opening her eyes , ( as she had squeezed them shut when she had bumped into the stranger ) ,  Y/N was met with the sight of a handsome young man . 

Her eyes widened , a blush spreading over her cheeks as she observed the handsome stranger from their close proximity. 

He had an ivory skin , and a dark green short hair with bangs that two of the bangs frame the side of his cheeks and one long bang that trailed down in the middle of his face and down his nose ,  downturned sharp violet eyes , and a straight nose and lips that were slightly tugged down . On his left ear , he was wearing a black earring . 

He looked be slightly older than her by maybe a year or two , and he was also wearing a black short sleeved shirt and grey slim trousers , on his feet were a pair of black chelsea boots . 

Pulling his hands away , and Y/N saw that covering those hands were a pair of black leather gloves ,  he stared down at her ( as he was taller than her , looking to be 5'9 tall while Y/N was 5'7 . ) , " Do pay attention as to where you're going , woman . " he informed her coldly . 

His cold tone made her bristle and indignant, all the thoughts of how handsome he was flew out of her mind . " Well ..excuse me for bumping into you , your highness . " She sarcastically said , stepping back away from him , in order to put space between them . 

Those sharp violet eyes narrowed , " Watch your tone , woman ." He warned her , his tone growing even colder , " You would never know who it was that you might be speaking to . " and with one last glance at her , he continued walking into the direction he was heading to . 

Leaving her to process his words , and if she was smart enough ..understand the hidden meaning behind them . 

" You would never know who you might be speaking to . " she imitated his voice as she repeated the words , making a silly face . ' who does he think himself to be ? A king ? ' she thought sourly , averting her eyes away and looking irritated . 

Y/N doesn't get along nor telorate people like him , who have a holier than thou attitude . They're very annoying . 

Shaking her head , she snapped herself out of her thoughts , deciding to continue her planning and firmly thinking that she will not get distracted again . 

' Now , i must hurry and find the screen before the others ! ' Y/N thought determinedly , clenching her fists .

Stopping in his tracks , the stranger that the (H/C) haired young woman had bumped into looked over his shoulder . Watching as the female looked determined and changed her direction course . 

It made him almost chuckle as the corner of his lips tugged slightly upwards , " As i had thought .." He muttered under his breath , his voice deep and baritone , " She is as careless as she had always been .." His tone had a hint of amusement but displeasure as well .

Here's the chapter as promised , it's not incredibly long nor short , average . But i can assure you that the next chapter is going to be incredibly long , and..filled with action ! Thrilling action . So look forward to it  >> .

It seems like Y/N is in for a one hell of a ride ..! ( Now that sentence somehow reminds me of black butler ..hmm .)
