Chapter 2: What will come next?

We kept walking and all I felt was curious. 'Could this be how I find my purpose?' I asked inside my mind before we got near to Achelo's home. "Here we are my one mon team base." Achelo stated in a happy way.

I walked inside after he opened the door and felt quite happy, so my eyes glowed yellow, I ran to the couch and sat down still grinning. "Ah quite happy I take it. Yes this is a nice home but it is a lot to maintain." Achelo told me then he went towards what I assume is the kitchen.

"You hungry carnal?" Achelo asked me and I smiled. "Yes I certainly am!" I cheered in joy. "Okay now that is a response! Carnal you are certainly joyful and I am glad about that." Achelo stated before I heard the sound of the stove turning on.

"How do you like your eggs?" Achelo asked and I chuckled. "Sunny side up!" I cheered back joyfully. "Sunny side up it is." Achelo cawed back.

"Oh feel free to look around a bit as it will be your base now too." Achelo told me and so my eyes shifted to purple with curiosity. I stood from the couch and looked at some photos that were in frames. "A team?" I questioned quietly as I glanced at the photo that included Achelo and three other pokemon.

Achelo had brought out the eggs and placed them on the table. "Ah I see you found my old team photo." Achelo stated.
"Team but you said that you had been working solo?" I asked out of curiosity. Achelo sighed and lead me back to the table. "I will tell you after we eat." He told me then pecked at his eggs while I ate mine as any riolu would.

We finished our eggs then achelo glanced at the photo. "Okay story time." Achelo told me and I sat and listened. "Now see I was part of an adventure team with three of my friends, as you could tell from the photo, however we split because a tragic event happened while we were a team and so we broke apart. The team ended and we went our seperate ways." Achelo told me but all that did is make me even more curious of what this 'event' had been.

"Anyway that is all past but for now I think I shall wash these dishes." Achelo told me as he went back to the kitchen.

'I wonder just what that event was... could it be a death?' I thought to myself as I sat on the couch just trying to figure out what is next and about Achelo's past. It was interesting but this mystery actually made me forget about the questions I had for myself.

As hours passed by and me just thinking to myself and continually asking questions in my mind. "Say are you tired?" Achelo asked me and as if on cue I had yawned. "Guess so." I stated then was lead to a large room.

"This is the team sleeping quarters." Achelo told me and I nodded and sleepily approached the second bed near the window. "Sleep well carnal." Achelo told me and then we both fell asleep.
Back at the cave

Tiberon had been trotting around while the other byproducts glanced at each other. "Carnal is missing I see. Hmm what shall we do now?" Tiberon had asked the others.

The others shrugged though were also scared to say much to Tiberon. "Okay this isnt getting us anywhere." Tiberon stated.

One of the byproducts decided to speak up a bit. "Maybe not having carnal here is a good thing... he didnt have an aspect like us." The galvantula stated.

"That may be so but his sacrifice isnt something that needs to be set in motion yet. I cannot grasp why but I believe carnal is someone that will be important." Tiberon stated and then as it got late the group fell asleep.

The next day

I had woken up after having a dull dream and looked out the window at the world. "Hmm another day and another time to find my purpose." I stated quietly as Achelo had been asleep still.

I had made my bed then decided to go back to looking out the window. I had heard movement from Achelo's bed.

"Good morning teammate." Achelo told me and I smiled. "Good morning." I told him back. "So you had breakfast yet?" Achelo asked and as if right on cue my belly grumbled.

"I shall take that as a clear no." Achelo giggled and lead me to the main room of the house. "So what shall we eat?" Achelo asked and I gave him a curious look as my eyes changed colour to show that.

"Well what do you have?" I had asked. Achelo went to check and came out with some sort of muesli. "Some nice grains and berries." Achelo stated and placed down two bowls.

I grabbed mine gently and started to eat. It was a good meal though if a little bland. "Hmm what is it carnal?" Achelo asked me and I had sighed.

"It is good but a bit bland for me." I told him and Achelo nodded. "Yeah but affording anything of higher quality is difficult on a low budget." Achelo stated and I nodded in agreement.

We had finished our breakfast and I had become curious at what would occur next. "So what is on the itinerary?" I asked and achelo laughed a bit. "We are going into town and to any bar with a request bored." Achelo explained and I nodded.

We had gotten ready to go into town however this was my first time going there I knew something will come from it.

Achelo went to grab some sort of cloak like thing. "Here carnal... some people arent all that tolerant of people that are different so I think you should wear this." Achelo had told me and then we left after I had put the cloak on.

'well I wonder what this will lead to?'
