***Harry’s Point of View***
I’m not sure how much longer I can survive this whole “period” thing. I seriously underestimated girls in the past.
Nope. Never again. Not after this.
This shit is supposed to last all week. Like whose fucking idea was that?!
I’ve been lying in bed all day. Literally. I finished off the ice cream Cara had mentioned. It didn’t help. Not a bit. The cramps kill, the discomfort is highly existent, and the struggle is realer than you can possibly imagine.
I guess this life isn’t as bad as I’m making it out to be though. Once you get past the battle of menstruation, it was actually nice to be able to lay in bed all day. A chance like that doesn’t happen very often for me. I’m always up and busy doing stuff like interviews or shows with maybe a day or two off every now and then. It’s hectic and crazy, and this was a nice break from it all.
Of course I could do without the endless blood supply flowing from my lower region. But that’s beside the point.
Now I sat in bed searching through Cara’s laptop. I came across a folder marked ‘Fan Fiction’ and got curious. After opening it up I naturally had to read it. She had tons of files with different titles, some of which contained names of me and the boys.
So she writes One Direction fan fiction, I thought as I clicked the first one. I felt sneaky, but I didn’t care. I just hoped it wasn’t that weird erotic stuff. Or ever worse; bromances. Ugh. That stuff weirded me out just thinking about it.
Yes, we know about the existence of fan fiction and all that our dirty minded fans write about us.
Thankfully, based off this one story, Cara didn’t write like that. In fact, she was quite good and I found myself growing impressed by her words and style. Even the plot line was fascinating, despite the fact that it was a total girl book with me in it. That was a bit odd, but once I got past it, the story wasn’t bad. In fact, if she were to switch out my name with someone else’s, it could actually be a legit novel.
I wondered why she never mentioned that she wrote. Weren’t we supposed to know these things about each other?
Then the thought hit me that maybe no one knows. Maybe she hides it from people, so it wouldn’t necessarily be something I had to find out in order to live her life. But why would she hide this? She was incredible. Perhaps because it was about me and the boys, but she could write regular fiction too, right? It made no sense to me, and I wasn’t even sure how to ask her.
My phone lit up as it rang, signaling an incoming call from Cara. I pressed the device to my ear.
“Hello?”
“Hey. I can only talk for a second, but I wanted to tell you to check the mail for me. I just need to know if there’s any college acceptance letters,” she told me.
“You mean I have to get out of bed?”
“Just do it,” she snapped.
“Jeez, okay. Why in such a pissy mood?”
“Jeff’s watching my every move. I probably won’t get to meet up any time soon, and he’s only growing more suspicious every time I’m not with the other boys. I don’t know what he thinks, but he knows something’s up.”
“Shit,” I mutter. “I swear he can smell trouble from a mile away.”
“Yeah. Right. Just check the mail now, please?”
I rolled my eyes. “Bossy.”
I envisioned her unamused look as I rose from the bed and trekked down the steps.
