Maya felt like a huge weight had just been lifted of her shoulders after telling Farkle everything. "I kinda already knew about the whole Riley thing. She told me. And I'm gonna ask you the same exact thing I asked her; what do you want her to do?" "What was Riley's answer." "That's irrelevant." She frustratedly sighed. "Fine. I want her to... umm... I just want her to accept that I made a mistake, like we all do. At least I saw her on my birthday, some people didn't even get that chance. I feel horrible about this whole situation." Maya's face was planted in the palms of her hands.

"Maya. She knows how you feel." "Well, then why didn't she forgive me yet?" Maya sharply asked. "Because I never heard the full story." Riley spoke as she came out from the hallway inside. "Riles..? Did you and Farkle-" "Thats not important right now. What is, is our friendship." "You forgive me?" Maya asked with a gleam of hope in her eye that Riley taught her to use. "Do you have hope that I do?" Riley asked that rhetorically, knowing that both the answers are equivalent, and Maya knew that too.

Maya and Riley forgave each other, now Maya was off to fix things with Josh. She went to one place she thought he'd be. And that was the beach that Maya had previously driven by on her way to Farkle's place. She parked her car and went to the spot that Maya and Josh love.

Just as Maya predicted, Josh was under the arch at the Leo Carrillo State Beach. "Hey, Boing." His head turned over his shoulder because his back was currently facing her. He noticed it was his blonde wife and turned back to face the ocean coloured like her eyes again. "I don't know how to fix this, Josh."

Maya paused as she took a breath in before continuing "It's too complex. What do you want me to do? Josh, just tell me, what do you want me to do?" (A/N She said this similar to how Stiles from Teen Wolf said what he said in Season 5 Episode 9 in his fight with Scott). Her voice cracked as a tear formed in her eye, but she looked up, refusing to let it roll down.

He finally fully rotated his body so it was now facing hers. "You know what I want? I want you to prove it. Prove that I'm your guy. I want you to prove that he means noth-" she cut him off by walking over and kissing him. She parted from him, their foreheads still against each other. "I love you." They both smiled at each like they were back in high school. Josh didn't need anymore proof than that. It sent both of them a flashback to their first time at that beach.

Flashback:

Maya and Josh had just finished settling into their new California house. They bought that house because Maya had just booked a new TV Show called Sorry, Not Sorry. Maya was running away as Josh tried to catch up to her. She looked back checking if he was getting closer, and indeed he was. He was currently chasing the blonde beauty across the beach because she had a shell he caught in the palm of her hand. She reached an arch that allowed her to fit through without her having to crouch down at all because it was quite tall. She was just under it when Josh caught her. Their foreheads were pressed together just like the moment in the present, "I love you" She said. They both smiled with that high school smile again.

End of Flashback

"Just like high school." He said while looking into her eyes that had the same colour as the sea next to them. "Never gets old." She whispered, loud enough for him to hear, as they walked back to her car and drove home shortly after.
