A new beginning

When trouble goes a knocking

I was dusting the book shelves in the parlor when I heard a wagon coming up the drive. I wiped my hands on the apron that covered the little baby bump I had. I walked to the front door " Megan someone is coming down the drive!" Megan came from the kitchen " it is probly Annie coming back." I shook my head" no it isn't Grandma, it is someone else."

We stood on the porch as the two people in the wagon pulled up. It was Amber and her father, Megan and I looked at each other" what are they doing here?"

I shook my head" I have no clue, but let's find out."

We both walked up to the wagon and stopped. I looked up at them" Can we help you with something?" Amber sneered" yes by staying away from my husband you stupid tramp!"

I was shocked" Excuse me?"

Ken looked at me " you heard her you are ruining her marriage, you slut!"

Megan started to turn red in the face" I think you have said enough it is time for you to leave!"

I looked at her" wait a minute." I looked at Amber "I have done nothing to you, you are very pretty but your nasty attitude takes away from that."

Amber cackled" I don't have a nasty attitude, I can't say for present company."

Megan glared" what is it you want? please tell us so you two can leave."

Amber sneered" I want you to leave this town for good Lizzie, since you came to this town you have caused a lot of trouble."

Ken also stated" if you leave quietly, we'll leave your grandmother alone."

I screamed " HOW DARE YOU COME ON PRIVATE PROPERTY AND THREATEN ME!"

Megan patted my arm " Lizzie calm down, I will take care of this."

I shook my head" I am tired of them ruining my life, I will not let them get their way."

Megan sighed " I know but go on to the house and rest I will take care of this."

I nodded " fine I will go in the house."

Megan nodded " good cause I am about to rip them a new one."

I smiled" okay, I will watch from the porch." I turned on my heel to hear " That's right go pack your bags little girl and leave." I have had enough, I am tired of being pushed around. I don't know what was wrong with me? I never wanted to stand up for myself, must be the baby making me strong. I walked into Grandma's study and grabbed the shot gun" I think it is time for them to leave town." I heard them arguing with Megan, I grabbed shells and loaded the gun.

I walked out on the porch, pointed the gun over there heads just high enough that they wouldn't get shot. BANG! The horses jumped around a bit , but the look on their faces was priceless.I bet they crapped themselves. I smiled" I SAID GET OFF MY PROPERTY, THAT WAS A WARNING SHOT!"

Ken yelled" you almost shot us, you stuid Bi---!" BANG!

I smiled again" AS I SAID LEAVE OR THE NEXT ONE WON'T BE A WARNING, AND BY THE WAY EVER CALL ME THAT AGAIN, AND YOU WILL BE FIRST!"

Amber yelled"I am pregnant I could go into labor here and now if you don't put that gun down WHORE!"
