I felt like I was dying. I opened my eyes and saw that I was still in my house, on the floor, gasping for air that didn't seem to come. I couldn't breathe and my insides were burning, as if someone had set a torch inside me and knocked it over, igniting every single cell.
I'd never felt this much pain in my life. I curled up into a fetal position, gritting my teeth as my vision spotted again. Nadia was long gone and I needed help. Without thinking more on it, I teleported to the castle, not knowing where I ended up.
Gasps filled the air when I landed on the floor, eyes squeezed tight from the pain the exploded behind my lids.
"It's the queen!" I heard someone whisper loudly and voices started blending together as more than one person spoke at once.
"What's wrong with her?"
"What do we do?"
"We need to get Raquel. She'll know what to do."
I heard bits and pieces of what they were saying, but I couldn't focus on it for long as another wave of pain attacked me viciously, causing a scream to ripple through my throat. I arched my back, gripping at the carpeted floor, and I felt tears leak from the side of my eyes.
The sound of someone new entering into the room seeped into my ears and I felt a presence next to me.
"Queen Alice, can you hear me?" A soft female voice asked and even though it was hard, I nodded, still squeezing my eyes tightly. "I am Raquel. I'm going to move you to the bed now." I didn't care if she said she was going to chop my arm off, I was in so much pain.
I didn't realize I was moved until I felt the cool sheets of a bed welcome my burning body. The female started chanting something in another language and the pain suddenly vanished. It wasn't completely gone because I could still feel slight flashes, but it was bearable.
"Sleep." She said and that's exactly what I did.

"This wasn't supposed to happen for another thousand years. What do you think happened?"
"I think my daughter had something to do with this. I could sense her magic inside of the queen." Raquel's voice answered the person who asked the question.
Even though they were whispering, I could hear them clearly. My body felt well rested, as if Nadia hadn't done what she did. I still had yet to figure out what she did to me.
"Does this mean there will be war?" The person asked. "The prophecy clearly states that the moment our supposed savior has found her second m-"
When I opened my eyes, the lady that was speaking immediately closed her mouth. The sun streamed in through the window and I could tell that it was early noon. I let my gaze wander across the room and I spotted two women, one with brown hair and a servant's uniform, while the other had wavy white hair and black eyes. Her aura felt powerful and I immediately knew she was a witch.
"What happened to me?" I croaked and the woman with the white hair, who I guessed was Raquel since the other lady's voice didn't match the one that helped me, stood up.
Raquel floated over towards me, her light clothing flowing gracefully. "How are you feeling?" She asked, handing me a glass of water. I sat up slowly, grimacing when I felt another dull pinch of pain. I downed the water in seconds, my throat thanking me.
"I feel fine. A little funny, but fine." I answered. "So, what happened to me?"
Raquel glanced back at the servant, who shrugged her shoulders. She sighed deeply and turns her black eyes to me. "It is very complicated, and at this moment, we should be focused on making you stronger. I realize that my daughter has committed the most vicious crime of burning your memories away, which is punishable by death." Raquel explained and it dawned on me that she was Damien and Nadia's mother.
