"But dad" I say almost in tears.
"Dalton, baby, don't be scared" my dad, Jace, says to me.
"I-i-i'm scared. What if they don't like me. I-I can't skate, they'll make fun of me." Cruel and sad to say. I've loved hockey since I was around 5 or 6 and I am 11 and still haven't learned how to skate. Today is the first day to hockey camp and I am terrified to start because I am going to be put into the kiddies hockey because I can't skate. When I do learn I'll be put in the higher level. It's completely and utterly embarrassing with how old I am. I still don't know how I still am terrible at skating when I have been taking lessons for 2 years now. I know I should give up by now but I actually enjoy the sport and it's something I am passionate about regardless of my skating skill or nonexistent skills.
"Baby, you'll do great. I promise. You'll meet new friends and you'll learn how to skate. Come on be daddy's big boy and go make new friends. Remember Seth is in football camp and he'll come with new experiences and you have to, too. He'll make fun of you and you know it." I look up at him and agree. Seth, my twin is in love with football and a total ass if I do say so myself. Seth is cocky for his age and he's good at football and he knows it. He always bugs me and teases me on how I suck at skating and I should stop trying to play when I don't know how to skate. I hate crying about it, especially in front of him because he'll never live it down. I know if I try my hardest and practice more I'll be great at hockey.
"Okay, daddy. I'll see you at the end of summer." I hug my dad and turn around with my hockey bag and all my belongings heading to the cabin I am supposed to be in with 2 other boys my age.
Entering the cabin I come face to face with 3-single twin beds. Two of which had bags on them already. Looking around I notice a boy sleeping and I hear the water running in the bathroom I guess. I hear the door opening and a boy comes out with wet hair and a grin on his face.
"Oh, shit" he says startled.
"Hi" I whisper scared. He walks over to me and looks me up and down and opens his mouth.
"Hi roomy, I'm Cole. Is this your first time in hockey camp?" He asks looking at me with a big grin. I open my mouth to respond and next thing I know is that everything goes black.
There goes, Dalton on the top! Yes, that's him laughing at himself for what just occurred. Yes, as you read he is really shy and well shy. LOL, Poor Dalt he fainted meeting his new roommate, Cole! I'm trying to picture someone as Cole, but I don't have anyone yet.
Yes, that's the first chapter. The first like 4-6 chapter will be based in the past where they first meet and from there you'll see how every goes.
Next chapter will be in Cole's P.O.V. and in that chapter is the first kind of practice wherein AIEN Cole says that Dalton first caught his eye when he noticed Dalton inability to skate. As you guys already know Cole is a little ass that can't control his teasing towards Dalton, so you'll see that happening.
Updates will hopefully be a Friday thing. Fingers crossed that I'll update every Friday. I forget things. I didn't even know today was Friday until I checked my phone and remembered I was supposed to pick the cover and well I wrote this chapter that's everywhere, but yeah, let me know what you think so far and what you think will happen throughout the story.
