It all happened so quickly, one minute you were in the truck with Anthony following behind Jake who was on his motorcycle and the next, he was on the ground. It was horrifying.
"I knew he was going to fast!" You shouted quickly sprinting over to him, so many people were crowding over him, but you bent down next to him.
"Babe, it's okay, I'm here. Everyone step away from him, he needs to breathe." You warned everyone as they slowly backed up, Jake gently sat up, his head in his hand, breathing heavy and shaking.
"Y/N." He kept whispering and all you could do was reassure him that you weren't going to leave him, and that he was going to be okay. The sirens could be a heard from a distance, but the pounding in your chest ignored it.
"I feel like I only have myself to blame." The distressed driver who drove fast by him spoke distressed. You rolled your eyes.
"Not to be rude, but please for the love of god, you were both going way over the speed limit, and you're both lucky you're not dead, so just shut up and wait till the ambulance gets here." You growled. Anthony ended up apologizing to the guy and explaining yours and Jake's relationship. Once the ambulance came, you got in with Jake while Anthony followed in the truck, however when you got there they made you wait in the waiting room.
"Where is he?" A lot of questions were asked as Team 10 came running through hospital corridors. You had yet cried because it was just to traumatic and shocking.
"In there." You sighed wiping a stray tear, pointing to the door just down the hall. There were a lot hugs being shared and when a nurse finally came over to you and said you could go and see him, you didn't hesitate running again. There he was, sitting up with a timid smile on his face.
"You are not going that speed ever again, you won't be on one of them things for a long time, and I'm looking after you." You rushed out giving him a gentle but everlasting cuddle, not wanting him to leave your side just in case he got hurt again.
