Chapter 2
"Hey!" I greeted Bae Jinyoung with a smile plastered on my face.
He glanced at me for a second, gave a slight nod and then back to do whatever he was doing before i greeted him. I rolled my eyes. As always, he never made an effort to talk to other people.
I hung the bag on my chair, sat on it and put the books on my desk. I took a quick glance at Bae Jinyoung before taking out my phone from the bag. After unlocking the screen, i scroll through my Kakaotalk conversation with my mom and giggled a little at a photo of my cat, Kimbap, that she sent me earlier this morning.
"Um, hey. What are you doing?"
I heard a voice and quickly turned my head towards the person sitting right beside me.
Oh My God. I can't believe it. Bae Jinyoung The Great is finally talking to me.
I continued to stare at him and I could see the curious look in his eyes. "Oh, uhh. Nothing! It's just a picture of my cat!" I said and let out an awkward laugh. He sighed softly and nodded his head. "Why?" I asked. "Nothing." he replied while slightly shaking his head before continuing his work. I just shrugged it off and started to turn off my phone since the teacher had already entered the class.

Ever since the class started, I haven't seen Bae Jinyoung The Great took out his calculator to solve the Maths problem that the teacher wrote on the whiteboard. He just kept on doodling something on his little notebook. I was tempted to ask what he was doing but he would probably ignore my question so I did not bother asking.
"Okay, class. That's all for today. If any of you guys can't solve any of the problems, feel free to find me in my office. Oh, but you guys can ask Baejin too, since that's easier." said the teacher as he finished his lesson.
I raised my hand and asked, "But sir, he did not do anything. I doubt he even listened to what you were saying."
The whole class, including the teacher, gave me a sharp glare. I frowned. "Minkyung, Baejin knows what he's doing." said the teacher again. With that, he picked up his notes and left the classroom.
I sat down quietly and heard some soft chuckles from the students. I turned my face to look at Bae Jinyoung and I saw that he was trying to hide his smirk, but failed. Miserably at that.
God, this school year is going to be a Hell.
