Replaced (Jack Gilinsky)

prologue

"I love you, baby. Please, stay with me. Dont leave me." Jack sobbed, burying his face in the crook of her neck.

"Jack, we cant be here. Let's get out of here." His mom's cracked voice said, she was in the same state as his son.

"No. Oh God, Paige." More tears came out of his eyes, soaking the hospital's shirt that she wears.

"I'm sorry, sir. We have to check on your wife." The nurse behind him said, breaking his heart even more.

"Come on, Jack." His mom said, trying to pull him out of the room.

Sadly he obeyed, leaving his beloved wife in the room.

Once they were out, a panicked girl stopped in front of them.

"Kathrine, how's my sister?" She asked, panicked that she's running out of breath.

"Petra, honey.. We dont know yet." Katherine's voice come out as a weak whisper, she held Petra's both hands in hers.

"I want to see her." Her voice cracked, she was about to open the door where her sister's room is but Katherine held her back.

"Wait, we cant. They're checking on her right now." Katherine told her softly, trying not to burst into tears anymore but failed miserably when Petra's body trembling down.

Petra cant stand on her weak legs anymore, she broke down completely.

Katherine knelt down beside Petra and pulled her small form to her, she hugged her. Petra hugged her back and sobbed into her shoulder.

"I cant live without her. She's the only one I have right now. I wont let her go, Katherine." She said, her voice come out as a muffle from crying.

"It's not her time to meet mom and dad." Her muffled voice said again.

"Katherine, I was terrified when you said that Paige got hit by a car. I cant imagine how her fragile body- no!" She stopped and cried harder in Katherine's arms.

"Why do they take so long?" Jack groaned, running a hand through his already disheveled hair.

"Jack, patience." Katherine softly said, looking at his direction.

When she didnt get any responds, she continues to rubbing Petra's back shootingly and whispering sweet nothings in her ear, although Katherine needs the same treatment due to her state, but calming Petra down seems enough for her.

Katherine was like a second mother to Petra. Ever since Paige married to Jack, Petra lives with Katherine because Petra have nobody except Paige and the same with Katherine, Jack is her only child, her husband died when Jack was seventeen.

Petra and Paige's parents died in a car accident when Petra was eight and Paige was fifteen. Paige and Petra live with their aunt since then.

Paige go to college and found her lover, Jack Gilinsky- which is her senior. When she turned 20, two weeks after her birthday, Jack proposed to her. She's so happy about that, she cant stop smiling and rambling about her wedding soon. Paige's smile got Petra does the same, Paige's happiness is Petra's too, they cant live without each other, Paige is Petra's world and Paige feels the same way.

When Paige was 21, they got married. The look on their faces were so content, so light-hearted. They were so happy until now..

Paige was just about to buy some groceries, to fill her fridge up with some goods. But unfortunately, a drunk truck driver had to hit her car. The damage it caused is really bad, not only caused Paige to be unconcious but left big scars on her body.

"Petra." A familiar deep voice for Petra heard.

Petra pulled her head off Katherine's shoulder to see her boyfriend walked towards her.

"Daryl." She sobbed, letting it all out and holding tight on Daryl's torso. Daryl immediately wrapped his arms around her and let her sobbed in his chest.

"Are you okay, baby?" He asked, pulling her head from his neck softly after a while.

"My sister." I muttered.

As if on cue, the doctor came out with the nurse behind him. Jack hurriedly came to face him as everyone did the same.  Petra grabbed onto Daryl's hand, afraid that she'll faint if she cant take the information from the doctor.

"How's my wife?" Jack impatiently asked, clenching his hands.

"Her body reacted poorly at the crash, this caused so many damage for her. She gets big scars on her hip and thigh but it could be heal by the time although it will left marks on her. But there's a big problem..." Everyone listen to him as their bodies shaking. They're afraid of what's about to come.

Sighing loudly, the doctor added, "She's in a coma."

Then darkness consumed Petra.
