He disappeared, leaving me with all of this information to process. Eli didn't have a brother, or siblings for that matter. At least that's what he told me. But according to Damien, everything he told me was a lie. How long did I really know him then?
If I was a succubus, did that mean my parents were demons too? I decided to try my parents' house again. By this time, it was around one in the morning and from the buzzing in my pocket, I knew Eli was trying to get in contact with me. I didn't want to speak to him at the moment because I needed more answers.
Turning my phone on silent, I drove to my parents' house and cheered internally when I saw that their cars were in the driveway this time. I got out my car and knocked on the door, waiting for an answer.
Muffled sounds came from inside and I frowned, pressing my ear to the door. "Hello?" I called out, twisting the doorknob. The door opened and I stepped in, engulfed in darkness. Closing the door behind of me, I turned on the lights and immediately covered my eyes.
"Oh my god, my eyes!" I screeched, walking past my parents, who were having an intense make-out session on the couch.
"Alice! What are you doing here so late?" My mom asked, lifting her head. She didn't make a move to get off my dad, her dirty blonde hair wild in her face.
"Can you guys, like, get off each other? I need to talk to you." I said, sitting down at the dining table. My parents didn't look a day over thirty, even though they were in their mid forties.
"What's so important that you decided to come here?" My dad asked, lifting my mom until she was standing before getting up himself. He pressed a kiss to her forehead and grabbed her hand, leading her to the table.
"I found out something today." I started, holding my arm out when my dad bent over to give me a hug. He inhaled deeply and I felt him freeze.
"Rach, it finally happened." He said, referring to my mother. His eyes scanned over me before he looked at my mom, whose eyes were wide.
"Alan, sit. I think she knows." My mom said, patting the seat next to her. She turned her attention to me, her dark blue eyes weirdly excited. "You want to ask about incubi and succubi, don't you?" She asked, smiling.
I blinked a couple of times. "Yes, how did you know?"
"We can smell you. You don't smell like a human anymore." My dad answered, relief in his voice.
"Anymore? So I was human before?" I asked, confused. "Are you guys human?" My parents laughed at my question and my dad grabbed my moms hand, kissing it.
"No, honey. We're demons too. You are a full blooded demon. But since your succubus side was locked, a human scent took over until your succubus side was unlocked again." My mom explained and I felt a headache coming on from all of this information.
They told me about our ability to heal, the fact that we could live for hundreds, even thousands of years, and teleportation.
"So, why was that side of me locked up?" I asked, still not understanding.
"Um..." My parents looked at each other, communicating silently. My dad nodded his head slightly and turned back to me. "King Eliezer has a lot of enemies and so to protect you, he temporarily turned you into a human and made us promise not to tell you about it. Only someone with royal blood can do this, and someone's demon side can only ever be locked once."
Wait. Pause. Hold the fuck up.
"King Eliezer?" The words tasted vile on my tongue. My mom nodded. "As in Eliezer Minorelli?"
