Mia in the media.
Two days before the All-Star game...
"4. Play going home. Let's go." Coach Andrew exclaimed, hitting the ball toward me.
I fielded it, throwing it home.
"Atta girl." Coach exclaimed, hitting another ball to me.
I back handed it, throwing it home once again.
"Perfect. Alright, you take a break. Gordon, on 1st." Coach said.
I make my way to the dugout, slapping hands with Gordon on the way there. Gordon plays for the Wildcats. They're 3rd place behind us and the Red Devils.
So I'm gonna list off the players here, from each team. For the all star game.
Wildcats- Jaxon and Gordon
Jets- Christian and Max
Red Devils- Daniel and Matthew
Wolfpack- Jordan and Edgar
Cardinals- Jason and Trevor
Warriors- Michael and Grayson

Green Lanterns- Aaron and Peter
Jaguars- Jared and Henry

Coach Andrew is the head coach. He coaches the Astros. The assistant coach is Bailey, from the Wolfpack. Coach Sam is here. And our team doctor is Maurine, from my team.
"Good job Hazel." Coach Sam said, shaking me up slightly.
"Thanks coach." I say.
I sat on the bench in the dugout, opening my water bottle and sipping some water.
Me and the team, the Oakland All-Stars, were on the team buses headed back to the hotel. Each bus has 20 players, being that the team as a whole is 40 players.
Alex sat beside me, showing me pictures of his dog Reza. She's honestly too cute; she's a golden retriever.
I had my silver Bluetooth Beats on my head, listening to Shape Of You by Ed Sheeran. I look across the aisle to see Daniel signaling me. I mentally roll my eyes and take the headphones off of my head, placing them around my neck.
"What?" I say.
"Well hello to you too." He said.
"What do you want Daniel?" I say.
"Mia I'm sorry, okay? Whatever you're mad about, I'm sorry. Why didn't you let it go anyway? It's been a month." He said, exhausted.
"You should worry about Grace rather than worrying about me. I can handle myself." I say, ready to turn away once again.
"Mia talk to me. You can't keep running away every time I wanna talk to you." He said.
"Leave me alone Daniel." I say.
Before he could say anything else, Coach Andrew began talking. Telling us that curfew is at 10. Anyone up later than 10 wouldn't be playing in the game. By then, I had already put my beats back on, continuing to listen to my music.
We basically had the whole 4th floor to ourselves. Well, we only possess 4 rooms, 10 players in each, but it feels like we have the whole floor.
I'm in a room with Gordon, Alex, Devin, Trevor, D'Angelo, Brayden, Aaron, Jared and Tanner. I count as 10, obviously.
I have a room to myself, within our room. Everyone else either shares the other room or stays in the living space.
I laid on my bed, face timing Carson.
"I miss you Mia." She exclaimed, frowning.
"I miss you too Carson." I say.
"Not as much as I miss you, but I'll let it slide." She said.
"So, how's life in Oakland right now?" I ask.
"Ugh! I almost slapped Grace today. She was really pushing it." She said.
"Why didn't you?" I ask.
"I don't feel like getting suspended this week." She said, shrugging.
"The Carson I know would've did it without any regrets." I say.
"Well the Carson you know was trying to be nice." She said.
"Negative. You're never nice to her." I say.
"Key word: try. I didn't say I was being nice to her." She said.
"So why didn't you do it?" I ask, smirking.
"Shut up Mia, tryna get me in trouble." She said.
"Anyway, Ryan got hurt during his game yesterday." She said.
"Well is he okay? Steph didn't call me or anything." I say.
"I have no idea. All I heard was that he was in the hospital." She explained.
"No further details?" I ask.
"Nope." She said.
"Okay, I'll call him right now." I say.
"You do that. I'm gonna try to finish this math homework." She said.
I giggle as she hangs up FaceTime after a couple more minutes. Then I proceed to call Ryan. He answered after the second ring.
"Hello?" He said.
"Hey Ry." I say.
"Hey Peanut. How's it going in Los Angeles?" He said.
"Good. How're you feeling? I heard you got hurt during your game yesterday." I say.
"Yeah, just a sprained ankle from falling the wrong way." He said.
"As long as the whole leg isn't broken." I say.
"Nah, it's not that bad. But I'm pretty banged up Peanut." He said.
I frowned, although he couldn't see me.
"Well, I hope you're okay. I'll talk to you later." I say.
"Okay, I love you." He said.
"I love you too Ryan." I say, smiling.
After that we hung up. I sighed as I thought about the upcoming game. I look at my uniform, which was still in its plastic.
The #1 jersey untouched, the striped pants folded neatly, with the belt in the loops, my black and white socks balled up nicely. And to top off everything, my hat, which rested peacefully on my uniform as a whole.
The knock on my room door distracted me from my admiration of my uniform. I opened the door, sighing as I saw it was only Alex.
"What is it Alexander?" I say.
"The guys wanted to know if you wanted to hang out in the living area, because you're isolated from us." He said.
I looked behind him, and sure enough our other roommates were waiting on me to answer their question.
"Sure. What are we doing?" I say.
"Eating pizza, drinking soda and watching baseball movies." He explained.
"Okay, give me a second. I'll be right out." I say.
He nods and heads back toward the couch with the other 8 roommates. I giggled and closed the door, grabbing my phone and heading to join the others.
Just peaceful hanging with the guys.
