She spent the rest of the day inside the tent, resting after her adventure outside. Abby returned later in the day with Clarke, Finn, Raven, and Thelonious Jaha, who Theresa had assumed was dead. Abby came in to check on Theresa for a moment. Jackson and Abby entered the tent, and there was the hint of a smile on Abby's face.
"Today has been a good day, huh?" she said.
"Depends on how you define 'good,'" Theresa replied.
"You're getting your strength back. You're able to walk farther now."
"With help," Theresa pointed out. "I still can't walk on my own. Where is Bellamy?"
She hesitated, keeping that smile frozen on her face. "It's going to take some time, but it's a small step. Just one step at a time, Theresa," she said, ignoring Theresa's question.
"Abby, where is Bellamy?" she asked again.
"I'll be back later," she said to Jackson, still ignoring Theresa.
"What happened?!" Theresa yelled as Abby made her way out of the tent.
"I'm sure he's okay," Jackson tried to assure her.
But Theresa wasn't convinced.
---
"But he needs them!" she cried.
"We can't have you stealing things that are of importance to the other members of the Ark," Kane said.
"I wouldn't have to steal if you could just provide my grandfather with the care that he needs!"
"Your credits are insufficient. You know this."
She started to cry. Her father would be so disappointed in her.
"We can't let you walk around free. You're old enough to know what you're doing is wrong." Kane paused, and Theresa stared at the floor. "I'm going to put you in confinement."
Theresa looked at Kane with teary, fearful eyes and started to object, "But, sir--"
"When you turn eighteen, you will be given a retrial, which will determine whether you will be released or you will be floated." He turned to a guard. "Take her to confinement."
The guard marched over to Theresa, took her by the arm forcefully, pulled her up roughly, and forced her hands behind her back. "Please!" she screamed, "I won't do it again! Please don't do this!"
"We can't have theives running around on this ship. Especially if they haven't been held accountable," Kane replied.
Monty and Jasper caught sight of her halfway to confinement. They ran, and she gave them pleading looks. "Hey!" Jasper yelled, "Let her go! This was my fault!"
"It was our idea!" Monty chimed in. "This isn't her fault. Please!"
"No," Theresa whispered.
"At least let us say goodbye!" Jasper yelled.
"Tell my father I love him, and I'm sorry." A tear slid down her cheek as she gave a silent goodbye to her friends. They continued to protest, following her as far as they could. She continued to be pushed along, until they came to a stop in front of the cell that would be her home.
The cell was cold, and it felt lonely. This would be her home for the final four months of her life -- at least that's what Kane had told her.
