Excuse the errors but I'm literally trying not to fall asleep
It was just like the first time I had seen Drake. I was standing against the far wall, trapped by Drake's well built body. He looked virtually the same, the only difference being the grayish twinge to his hair. His mouth was set in a smug smirk, and I could see the lumps in his coat where I knew he had weapons.
For the first time since I snuck out the pack house, I realized how well Anton knew me. I'd been stupid and rash in coming here. I had a measly plan full of holes, and Drake had a coat full of guns and knives.
"It's good to see you again, sweetheart," remarked Drake.
"I'm not your sweetheart," I snapped, my body tensing.
"Someone's feistier," he noted, looking a bit surprised at my outburst.
"Yeah," I replied icily. "I'm also a lot stronger. At least, I'm strong enough to kill you."
"Oh, I'm sure," Drake said in a sarcastic voice. "Why don't you prove it?"
"Gladly." Without looking away from Drake's eyes, I exhaled loudly and started to feel myself shift. Within seconds, I was in my wolf form, and I made sure to stand up tall and hold myself up to my full size.
"You're definitely bigger," said Drake, but he didn't look intimidated. "However, that could just be fat." Angrily, I curled my lip up over my fangs and snarled at him. He was just playing with me, like he'd done with the torture for all those years.
I wasn't his toy anymore.
I took a step towards him and growled, my body readying for attack. Drake shrugged, and in the blink of an eye, he pulled out a gun that I knew could only be loaded with silver bullets. He aimed the gun at my head, and just as he pulled the trigger, I jumped to the side, barely avoiding the deadly bullet.
"You're faster," Drake commented before firing off another couple rounds. I'd managed to dodge the first ones, but the last bullet grazed my right flank, making me yelp. I could feel the searing flesh were the silver bullet had dug into my body. "But, you're not fast enough."
I shook my head slightly, pushing the pain from my mind. My eyes locked on the gun and I knew what I had to do. Knives I could deal with, but a gun was too accurate. With that gun in Drake's hand, my chances of coming out of this fight alive decreased severely.
I was also going to need help. I was stupid to think I could just go into this and kill Drake easily by myself.
Bo! I thought loudly. We'd practiced a couple times with the mate link, so our bond was a lot stronger and it was easier to send messages.
Bo, I was really stupid. I-
A single shot rang through the room, and my focus was shattered. "I'm not stupid, dear Tyler," said
Drake matter-of-factly. "I can tell that you're sending a message to your mate."
My eyes widened involuntarily. How did he know that?
"C'mon Tyler," said Drake, as if he was talking to a toddler. "I've tortured many werewolves. You honestly think I wouldn't have seen them trying to contact their mates?" he looked thoughtful for a moment. "I'll tell you what; after I kill you, I'll find your mate and kill him so you can be together in hell."
Fury washed over me and I growled. A second later, I lunged with as much power as I could. Before Drake had a chance to pull the trigger on his gun and finish me, I swiped my paw against his hand, knocking the gun out of it and digging my claws into his flesh.
