I sat on the bleachers, shuffling with my corsage on my wrist. I looked over at Hannah and she smiled. She walked over and sat down next to me. I think she expected me to get up and leave because the look on her face when I smiled back was an expression of utter shock.
"Clay hasn't asked you to dance yet?" I asked her, letting the front of my dress down. She shook her head.
"Why?" she laughed nervously.
"I don't know, I just thought you guys had a thing?" I laughed a little.
"Uh-I no, we're friends though. I think."
"Obviously," she looked down a little. "I might have told you this before, but I'm here if you need me..." she smiled slightly and nodded.
"Thank you, Gabi." I looked up to see Clay glancing at Hannah, and they both stood up. I smiled wide at the sight of them. The smile on Clay's face depicted the way he felt about her, but if only she knew.
