Kaylin was sitting in the library of the Ocean palace his dad owned reading a 'banned' human book, 'Harry Potter', human artifacts were banned and outlawed from Godly realms, but Kaylin had an unusual fascination with them. Them being humans(or as he and Megara call them Muggles after their favourite book).
"Hi Kaylin how are you?" Megara said appearing in blue tinted smoke, holding a letter from a mortal. "Gods. Fire and water do NOT mix well."
Kaylin looked up from his book, and said in a sarcastic voice "Just peachy! How are you?"
"Someone's cranky." Megara said as she went up to his face. "How can I help?"
"Piss off. That would be great."
"Come on, I am your baby cousin. Let me help you..." She said right in his face.
He glared at her. "It was my dad. He pissed me off."
"Oh my Zeus! What did Uncle Posidon do this time?"
"I Just tried to bring up mortals in a casual conversation and he flipped. So I flipped. And now I'm angry and hiding from the world in my library."
She held back a laugh before looking at the floor off of Kaylin's glare. "Sorry."
"No. I am. I've got no grudge with you. Wanna go for a swim?"
"No. No. Sorry, busy. Very busy. Got stuff to do." She hid the letter behind her back.
"What ya got there then?" He snatching the letter with some controlled water.
"Oh nothing. Nothing at all." Blushing like most of Aphrodite's victims did. Kaylin opened up the letter and slowly read it, his jaw dropped and he stared at Megara for a straight 5 minutes.
"What. The. Fudge."He finally said snapping out of his shock.
"Give it back." She said slowly. Kaylin handed it over.
"You idiot! Why'd you bring that here?! You know my dad hates anything to do with mortals!!!"
"How do you think my dad feels about it? The closest he gets to mortals are their souls! Imagine if he found out... He. Would. Flip."
"Worse here! Come on. We need to leave. Now." They left.
"This is Melody. My water horse. I have an island we can go to. Too talk on. It's only accessible by her. Nothing else." Kaylin said as he hopped on.
"I have to get back to Hades." She said disappearing into the blue flame.
"Rude. I was gonna take you to my special island. Let's go Melody."
"Sorry." Megara said as she appeared in her omnipresent form. A ghostly version of herself. Then she disappeared again .
"Rude." Megara sat at home in her room as her ghostly soul 'nanny' plaited her hair. The soul had been assigned to her but spent most of the time in the River Styx.
"So what off that boy? Kaylin was it? Why did you suddenly run off to him?" The soul asked in an old fashioned voice.
"My cousin. Posidon's son. Nothing else." I said dismissively.
"You seem worried..."
"What about? And before you say anything just remember I am the heir of The Underworld and can make eternity very VERY miserable for you Miss Jane." Megara said switching into princess mode and acting proper like she always did when she was being defensive.
"Kaylin...something else maybe dear...?"
"No. Jane. I am fine. If I am going to have an immortal life it will be one without emotions."
