🌒Your Point of View🌒

I downed the rest of my milk and smiled at Josh as I stood up and picked up my plate.

"you done?" I inquired

"oh no no, you made the pancakes, I'll get these," he quickly stood up, picking his plate up and reaching for mine.

"and you made the bacon, so the least I can do is clean my own plate of," I laughed as we made a compromise.

We both walked to the sink (a/n at my kitchen sink, you don't know what that means.) and Josh turned the water on and danced to The Good, The Bad and The Dirty while we cleaned our plates and glasses.

"if you wanna start a fight," I started

"you better throw the first punch," Josh continued

"make it a good one," we sang together.

After scrubbing the syrup and bacon grease off of the plates and putting them on the rack to dry, Ready to Go came on and we looked at each other like little kids. We quickly dried our hands off and stood in the middle of the kitchen, recreating all the dances Brendon did in the music video a/n which I recommend if you've not seen it.) singing at the top of our lungs and laughing when we messed up or tripped over each other.

The song ended and we looked at each other and laughed. I couldn't help but think about how happy I was, I wasn't alone for once, I felt like I belonged here and I had someone to be with and talk to. I wasn't lonely, and I was understood, I dreaded going home whenever I did get around to it.

I was snapped out of my thoughts as I heard the beginning of The End of All Things play (a/n my fave tbh). I look up at Josh and see his hand stuck out in front of me, a goofy smile plastered on his fast, "may i have the honor of dancing with you?" he asked, giggling like a little kid. I blushed and let him take my hand and he pulled me close. We slow danced to the beat of the song, Josh occasionally spinning me around before quickly drawing me back in again. He lets go of my hands and hugs me close and I wrap my arms around his torso, resting my head on his chest and singing the "oh oh" part of the song as we swayed back and forth in Josh's kitchen. At the end of the song I looked up at him and smiled, I was at peace, finally I might add, after a trying week. He looked down and bathed me in the warm glow of his mocha eyes and smiled back and I rested my head down again as Collar Full play. I squealed "ooooooh I love this song!" in to his shirt and I felt his chest vibrate as he laughed and loosened his grip on me so that he could slide his arms down and grab my hands again. We danced together in the kitchen as Brendon serenaded us through the speakers. I felt my face heat up as I gazed into Josh's eyes and the guitar played a riff and then quieted to the just Brendon singing "oh show me your love" with a piano playing the chords in the back. Josh let go of my hands and cupped my face in his and closed the gap between us.
