"Anna! Get up!" I wake to the sound of my mother's voice yelling through my bedroom door. I open my eyes to the empty room and sit up in my bed. I look around my room. The walls are plain white because I didn't feel like painting them, I have 1 window that looks out to the yard which was half forest. I also have 2 doors in my room, 1 leads downstairs to the main house and is towards the end of my room to the left. The other is my own bathroom right across from me.

"I'm up!" I yell at my mother. I swing my legs over the bed and grab my clothes for the day from a small bench at the foot of the bed. I walk barefoot across the cold wooden floor to take a shower.

"Come down to eat when you're ready! And hurry up, you don't want to be late!" She shouts as I hear her footsteps depart back down the stairs from where she was standing outside my door. What the hell? Does she think I forgot? I thought as I turned on the shower. I hum quietly while I showered and was done in 10 minutes. I dried off and put my clothes on then wrapped my hair up in my head towel.

"Are you down yet?" My mother called from the kitchen. I walked up to the kitchen table taking a piece of toast. She has red hair but a little darker than mine, I also have a face a lot like hers mine is a bit more chiseled. My dad has blonde hair and I think that's where I get the lighter color of my hair. He also has a chiseled face so genes are great with my family. My parents also have a good metabolism so I don't have to exercise much but I do anyway because I like to so I'm an athletic person whether I like it or not.

"I'm right here." My voice was a little muffled from the toast.

"Oh, whoops," She laughed then continued, "Your dad will be driving you if you don't want to."

"It's okay. Tell him thanks but I can drive." I finished off my toast and went back upstairs to my bathroom. I took off the towel and my red hair tumbled down my back, still damp. I got out the blow dryer and quickly dried my hair, then went back downstairs to eat some more.

Half an hour later I'm loading all my suitcases into the trunk of my car and getting ready to leave for college.

"Don't forget to call sometime alright? And let us know you've settled in." My mother was anxiously talking to me as my dad and older brother made sure I was ready. My older brother is Nick and he's 21 so he's gone through all this before and can relate to me and my nervousness.

"All right looks like we finally have to leave you be so you can go." My father said as he walked up to me. He sighs. "Looks like we delayed you long enough. It's 7:30." Oh shit! I'm gonna be late! I quickly said my goodbyes and drove off so I wouldn't be late for the sign in.

2 and a half hours later I'm parking and running to the doors of the Kentucky University so I'm on time for sign in. We rented a house close by for a few months so I wouldn't be hours away from my college. My real home is near the Kentucky border in Missouri.

"Sign in please." An older woman who saw me open the door called to me. I hurried over to her desk and signed in on a clipboard. "Thank you Miss...," She looks at the clipboard, "oh! Miss Howson!" She exclaims in surprise.

"Just call me Anna," I pleaded.

"I couldn't possibly-"

"Please." I cut her off.

"Okay but if your parents find out tell them it was your idea."

"Deal" I smiled my dazzling white smile.

"ANNA!" I turn around to face the person who excitedly screamed my name.
