05 | "She can smell fear, don't panic"

Good, he should be scared.

I stomped down the stairs looking for him until I found a familiar mop of brown hair ducked down behind the kitchen island.

"I'm going to tear each strand of your hair out one by one Ryder!" I yelled from over the countertop as I lunged for him and he dodged.

He sped around to the other side of the counter top and mirroring my movements as I moved around so we were at different ends.

Logan tripped over his feet as he made a run for it around the counter and I chased him relentlessly,

"It was an accident Alexandra I swear!"

"It's Alex and I'm going to gouge your eyeballs out and shove them so far up your ass you'll be able to see how much of shit face you are!"

Suddenly he stopped,

"Feisty... I like it" he smirked at me, only fuelling my hatred for him even more.

"Eat shit Ryder!" Suddenly the front door clicked open and we both paused what we were doing, Logan looked so panicked as his eyes widened before a male with a loud falsetto voice called out,

"Honey! I'm home!"

And he let out a loud sigh signalling that it was alright, I had temporarily forgotten about the little incident... for now, I will get him back.

"Hey Logan where you at man?" someone else called out.

"Who's this chick?" A short blonde haired girl appeared in the kitchen, she was shorter than me, which was really saying something, chewing her gum obnoxiously loud,

"This chick" I emphasized, "has a name and would like to be acknowledged when she's in the room".

In return she narrowed her eyes at me before four guys entered the room behind her. I recognized them as the four that sat behind me in pre calc and as the guys who spoke to Brittany after I bumped into her.

"Guys this is-" Logan started but he was interrupted when the four guys finished his sentence for him,

"Alex".

"Yeah, how did you-"

"We'll tell you later" The blonde haired guy spoke up,

What? It's not that long of a story.

"Oh and by the way, we took care of Brittany. She won't be bothering you any more" The raven haired boy said and I nodded gratefully at them,

"Yeah so anyways you know Alex" Logan spoke up again and then introduced me to all of his friends.

"Valentino" he pointed to a dark haired boy with bright blue eyes and an ear piercing on his left ear who smiled warmly at me.

"Kasey" he pointed to the girl who rolled her eyes at me and walked back into the lounge room.

"Grayson and Ethan" he pointed to two identical tawny haired twins who gave me similar smiles, I noticed that Grayson had a small beauty spot on this jaw.

"And Will" he said finally pointing at a blonde haired boy with the brightest smile I had ever seen.

"So what were you guys doing in here?" Will asked us with a small suggestive smirk,

"We were working on a project," I answered coolly, dismissing anything that could've been assumed.

"Oh look at the time! I should probably drop you home" Logan said suddenly holding my shoulders and pushing me towards the door.

"B-but!" I protested

"No butts Alexandra we just met!" he laughed making me scowl at him.

"I will shove your head so far up your ass you'll be able to see your freaking pea sized brain, let go of me Logan!"

"Go to hell" he replied back but I could still make out the smirk in his voice,

"Lead the way" I retorted.

"Hey let's watch a movie!" someone called from the kitchen interrupting Logan and I's banter.

A chorus of agreements sounded the room and the pack of boys rushed out again and collapsed onto the living room couch squishing an irritated Kasey who looked like she wanted to snap my neck on the spot by the devil's eye she was giving me.

"Hey Alex! Watch a movie with us!" Grayson called,

"No she can't stay" Kasey answered for me in a snarky voice,

"Actually" Logan spoke up from behind me "it's her choice" he said with a undertone of annoyance.

I was surprised her defended me since just a few seconds ago he couldn't wait for me to get out of the house.

"Will you? Will you? Will you?" Ethan asked in a whiny voice that sounded much like a child's,

I thought about it for a while wondering if I had anywhere to be after this and if I had any other homework to complete, other than my short project with Logan which still had to be finished but came up with nothing.

"Yeah why not" I answered giving them a large grin,

As soon as I sat down next to Valentino on the lounge Kasey immediately got up and walked upstairs, muttering things under her breath, most of those words would've had to be censored on TV.

I looked questioningly at Valentino, who told me, "she doesn't take very well to your- I mean new people" he corrected himself which made me even more confused,

Will who sat beside him slapped him on the back of his head,

"Ow!" Valentino cried,

"Shut up" Grayson said from beside Will.

Logan looked at them in the same confused look as I, making me think that he had no clue about this as well,

I just shrugged, making a mental note to ask someone about this later.
