you were the crackle in the fire
the bad in the good,
that made me an ongoing desire
to do what I could
I never thought I'd find you
but when I did it was as if my
whole life I'd spent misunderstood,
because you made me realise — or
at least believe, that I was no butterfly,
in fact I was a cocoon.
so confused and lost in this planet
my soul would hide in the atmosphere
as you found me - well, no one could
asked up here
you came into my life for a reason
to show me how much of a failure
i had made of myself by season
as if you were some sort of saviour
but everyone knows there's no reason.
