It was a lovely morning; bright day, warm sun, birds lightly chirping. Arnav buttoned up his vest looking at the mirror for the nanoseconds before throwing his arms in his coat. He was ready to greet the bright day in front of him. Confirming the meetings of the day, Aman was giving a briefing about the project. With Bluetooth at a set, Arnav commanded him to be quick in certain matters as this project was important to him.

"ArnavSingh Raizada climbed down while thinking of the plans for the next two days to be ready for every possible thing to start the restoration work. He wanted all the work around the clock to meet his six months target as he planned initially. He sat down at the dining table for breakfast when a voice made him look up.

"Arnav! here is your breakfast, scrambled eggs with black coffee without any milk and sugar..." Anjali placed his breakfast and grabbed the chair right next to him.

"Di! What are you doing here and When did you come from Delhi ??... Did Dr. Arun come with you? "Arnav asked without looking at the perfectly cooked food by his Di being exasperated.

"So many questions in one breath...hold on, Arnav...Yes, Arun and I came late last night. I didn't want to disturb you at that time ...Anjali held his hand and looked deeply into his eyes while pausing to read his eyes...," apologeticallyArnav! So you came from London just for this??"

She paused again while looking at his changing expressions..."Tell me, Why did you start the renovation of Sheesh Mahal ??" ...Arnav shared his deep look with his Di and got up from his chair when Anjali held him by his hand. "It is not healthy leaving without breakfast...and I just came for you...just to see that you are fine, but if you haven't forgotten our home, then you must have remembered the significance of next week in our life too..." Her broken voice, filled with despair, made him close his eyes.

Arnav opened his eyes while exhaling a sigh and looked at apologetic eyes, knowing her to hurt along with him, "I'm sorry, Di! I didn't mean to, but..."

"I know Arnav, you don't like me being here at this time, but we all come here yearly for our parents' anniversary. The only difference you made this year is that you are renovating that house from where we had been thrown out once. Tell me something: why did you let Akash buy it if you were so desperate to renovate it? Why??? Why didn't you buy it for yourself???"
