I was already dressed and my hair was already done, I just didn't know what shoes to wear. I heard the front door close and I assumed it was Monique, so I walked out of my room.
"Hey sexy," she said walking toward me.
"Hey. You look good," I said.
She was wearing a long sleeve, backless royal blue dress with black platform pumps.
"Thank you! Here ya go," she said handing me a shoe box.
I opened the box to see a pair of black Red Bottoms.
"Monique, please don't tell me you bought these."
"Sure did! Happy birthday, again!"
I put the shoes on, went back in my room to put on diamond studs, then walked back out.
"Briana, you really do look good tonight."
"Monique, is there something you wanna tell me," I said trying not to laugh.
"Look I'm 100% straight; I just have homosexual tendencies," she laughed, "but seriously, you look hot. Are you and Blake gonna have sex tonight?" she asked wiggling her eyebrows.
"UM, have you been drinking because you're being reckless right now," I laughed.
"Maybe a little."
I opened the door to see Blake holding a single red rose. His jaw dropped as he looked me up and down.
"She looks hot doesn't she?" Monique asked walking over.
"Go sit yo reckless ass in the car," I said to Monique.
"She's right though. You do look amazing," he said kissing my cheek.
"Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself."
He was wearing a red long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up, black pants and black shoes. He looked so good, I wanted to die.
"Thanks. You ready?" he asked handing me the rose.
We left my house and went to the restaurant.
When we got to the restaurant, DJ and Cory were already there.
"Happy birthday!" they said in unison.
"Thank you," I said giving them hugs.
Before we left the restaurant, everyone told me to wait for a minute. DJ pulled out an envelope and handed it to me.
"Happy birthday Bri! This is from me and Cory."
I opened the envelope, pulled out the card and read the front. When I opened it, five tickets fell out. I looked at them carefully and almost fell out of the chair. They got me tickets to see The Weeknd on Saturday.
"Oh my god, thank you so much!!!!!" I jumped up and gave them both a hug, "how did you get these on such short notice?"
"I have my ways," DJ said with a big grin.
"So who's all coming with me?" I asked looking around the table, then fanning myself with the tickets.
"I'm going," DJ said.
"Me too," Blake said.
"Cool! What about you two?" I asked looking at Monique and Cory.
"I can't, but I hope y'all have fun," Cory said.
I pouted a little and looked at Monique, "what about you?"
She hesitated before answering, "I'll go."
"So who are we gonna give this extra ticket too?"
"We could give it to Tr-"
"If you finish that, I will dead ass punch you in your fucking throat."
She laughed. She must be drunk to suggest some stupid shit like that.
"Alright Briana, happy birthday," Blake said putting a box in front of me.
I looked down at the box and then up at him. I opened it and saw a silver necklace with a diamond encrusted "B" pendant. It was beautiful.
"Aw Blake, I love it!" I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed his cheek. He took the necklace out of the box and put it on me as I moved my hair out of the way.
I looked down at my phone and saw Monique's drunk ass texted me.
nique nique 😘👯💕: you gon' let him smash or nah??? 😏
I looked up at her and she was looking at me with a sly smirk on her face.
"Anyway, are y'all ready to go?" I asked getting up.
We left the restaurant and went to a club - the same club where Blake and I met. As soon as we got inside, Monique and I ordered drinks. Even though I was having fun, in the back of my mind I'm still worried about school stuff and Monique's situation. Ugh. I just wanna get drunk and forget everything for a while.
This chapter was sloppy and all over the place. I'll try harder next time. 😊
