Night had fallen, and she was seated at a table, eating her dinner by herself. It was nothing much -- just some rations that the last supply group had managed to scrounge up from some wreckage. Finn Collins made his way off of the Ark, and his eyes landed on Theresa.
Theresa jumped when she saw him suddenly take a seat across from her. "Are you okay?" he asked her.
She hesitated a moment, staring at Finn with this fearful look in her eye.
"I'm sorry," he continued. "I didn't know that Kane--"
"You don't need to apologize," she finally spoke. "It's not your fault."
"I feel bad," he said. He paused and let out a soft sigh. "How bad is it?"
"I can't feel my legs or my back...and my chest hurts...but I can walk," she replied.
Finn nodded his head as silence filled the table again.
Theresa wanted to ask the question that she knew wasn't appropriate. She hesitated, staring at Finn as he nervously looked down at the table. "Why did you try to save me?" she asked, which wasn't the question she wanted to know the answer to.
Finn looked up at her and met her eyes. "There was no way you were getting out of there on your own," he answered. "I wanted to help."
"Good job," she muttered.
"For a girl who says I shouldn't be sorry, you seem pretty damn bitter."
"Sorry, I just think that's a little hypocritical of you," she admitted. "Considering the fact that you massacred an entire village, I'm kind of doubting that statement."
Finn's face paled, and he quickly stood up from his seat, storming off. Theresa scoffed and turned her attention back to her food. She was alone for a few minutes until she saw Bellamy Blake take the seat across from her. "Hope I'm not interrupting," he said.
She raised an eyebrow. "You are. Me and my friend were having a riveting discussion about how dry this food is. In fact, you're sitting on my friend there," she replied sarcastically, to which Bellamy chuckled.
"Very fluent in sarcasm, I see," Bellamy said, taking a drink from his cup.
Theresa pushed her food around, not looking up at Bellamy as she replied, "I like to think of sarcasm as an art. It takes a very special kind of person to be fluent in such a thing."
Bellamy chuckled again. "Have I ever told you how strange you are?"
She smirked now. "This would be the second time now, yes." There was a pause as Theresa took a bite of her food. "I saw you talking to Clarke. Has she found a way in?"
Bellamy shook his head. "We were going over the map she made. She's still working on it. I saw you were talking with Finn."
"He did more of the talking," Theresa cut in. "Did they just let him go? I mean, after what he did, you have to think -- he's got to--"
"Don't worry about that," Bellamy interrupted her. "You--"
"Don't tell me to focus on getting better. I'm already doing all that I can."
Bellamy sighed. "I was going to say you don't need to be part of things like that. It's not your problem."
"Oh...well, you don't have to worry about me getting into anything. I'm getting out with the first chance that I can get."
Bellamy leaned forward and reached out for her hand, but Theresa quickly pulled away. "Just promise me you'll be careful out there," he said.
