(A/N: This book is my first mystery/thriller book so I apologise if it doesn't turn out amazing. This book will have an ounce of romance in it in some aspects but the romance will fully blossom at the end so all in all it's a Mystery/Romance book. I will try my very best to make sure that all my readers are engaged in this book and are practically hooked to it as they read every chapter. Of course the last thing is as all authors I will also have grammatical errors! Please don't start complaining about those errors, I'll fix them when I have time to. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy my very first Mystery book! Here goes the prologue..)

Nicole's POV - Five Years Ago.

(Play the song above with it if you want. Stop it before the speech because it will get depressing..)

"What is love if it's not with you

I know when you're alone you feel it too

In your arms is where I long to be

Coz being with you gives me sanity

Ooooh

Listen to me darling

I wake up every morning thinking bout the way you feel

Ooooh

I wonder if you know it

And what good is the party if you're not around

So listen to me now

What good is love

If it's not your love

What good is love

If it's not your love"

Singing is something which I always do almost every evening whilst cooking dinner. As cliché as it sounds, the songs which I sing everyday were love songs and all the love songs could only remind me of one person, the love of my life, the man who I call my husband.. David Andreas.

I remember the first time I had met Dave. We were in the same chemistry class in sophomore year. I had only arrived new to the town with my aunt and younger brother. I wasn't familiar with anyone in the town but for some reason everyone had been familiar with my arrival. They knew my name as soon as I had entered my new high school. I was shocked at first but when I asked one of the students she said that the town was small so news spreads really fast.

Me and Dave were practically high school sweethearts. We started off as good friends and slowly our friendship started to develop into something more and now here we are; husband and wife. I couldn't have asked for a better life partner.

Right now I am waiting for Dave to get home, so we can eat dinner together like we always do and catch up on both of our days. We always follow the same routine everyday, however there were some nights where Dave would finish late, so he lets me know beforehand so I know how long to wait for him. I never eat dinner without him.

Some days he comes home early, so we cook dinner together. I love spending time with the love of my life. It always reminds me of the first time we fell in love. I don't know what I'd do without Dave by my side. He's the biggest support system I have ever had. He's an amazing husband.

I set out the dinner table and brought out the food and cutlery's for the evening. All that is left now is for Dave to arrive home. I walk next to the window where I always sit and wait for him. I can easily see when his car would pull up on the small driveway.
