Willa Holland as Paisley Andrews

Paisley POV

You know the saying New Life, New Me? Well hate to break the news to you my friend.. it's bullshit, life sucks no matter where you run to. And no one wants to hear your sob story because everyone has one. You're not special, so suck it up buttercup.

Does this make me a pessimist or just a really sadistic optimist? And of all the time for me to ponder this life altering epiphany why would it be in front of all my new classmates as the teacher attempts to introduce me. The key word being 'attempt', let's just say I enjoy being difficult; pushing buttons just to see how far I can get until I reach the edge of to far.

    Yeah, definitely a sadistic optimist!

"So Miss Andrews, do you want to tell us what you like to do for fun?" Mrs... oh my god, what's her name?

How do I not know my teacher's name? I've been in this class for the last ten minutes "listening" to her talk about the school, what's wrong with me?

I just give her the same bored look, that I've mastered in the last two months, "Traveling," I answered, hoping she'd give up and just tell me where to sit, but I've never really been lucky.

"Well that sounds exciting! Where have you visited?" She inquired, you know she's got one of those stuffy voices, kinda like she needs to blow her nose. I find it very annoying.

"Outer Space, been to Jupiter once and Mars twice, it's absolutely beautiful up there, we should go as a class!" I said with sarcasm dripping off of every word. But hey, got the class to laugh so one point me, zero points Mrs. whats her face.

I return her displeased stare with a warm smile, "Take a seat by Leah. Leah raise your hand dear."

As I look among my classmates that I'm determined to avoid, I see a delicate hand in the air. Attached to the dainty little hand is a petite blonde, with hair down to her mid-back with captivating green eyes.

Beautiful.

As I take the seat behind Miss delicate, she turns around and graces me with a stunning smile, "Leah Coin, nice to meet you,"she says quietly.

I can't help but feel the smirk slipping onto my face, "Paisley Andrews, likewise," I respond just as quietly. She gives me one more smile before facing the front as Mrs... Mrs. damn! What the hell is her name, starts talking.

I just let out a silent sigh. Okay, so maybe I don't have to avoid all my classmates
