Gabriella's POV:

"Mom!" I call out as I walk in my house after work, "I'm home!"

"Oh honey, I'm glad," my mom smiles as she walks over to me and hugs me.

My mom never hugs me out of the no where and calls me 'honey'. I mean yeah, she hugs me at random times but it's more obvious to me at the moment.

I know she wants something. I know exactly what she wants.

"I'm not babysitting Arabella," I say almost instantly.

"Oh please!" She begs as she claps her hands together. I really don't have anything to do and Arabella is old enough but I don't like responsibility.

"Mom, she's sixteen. She can take care of herself," I huff.

"Exactly! She's a teenager. Teenagers like to do stupid things," my mom's eyes are begging.

"She's not a baby anymore. Babysitting, is only for babies!" I protest.

"Gaby, do it and I'll pay you!" She sends me eyes of hope. Money is one way to get me to do ridiculous things like these.

"Fine," I roll my eyes.

"Thank you," she hugs me tightly.

"Where are you off to, anyways?" I ask as I take off my jacket and place it on the coat hanger.

"I'm off to a date with myself," she smiles as her cheeks flush in a light pink.

"Are you now?" I raise an eyebrow. Crazy woman.

"Yes," she replies quickly, "now I have to go get ready for my date," I look at her for a moment longer, "with myself."

"Alright, whatever you say mom," I roll my eyes.

Me and my mother have a close connection. She told me all about her life. Well from what she's been through so far.

How her parents, my grandparents, lived a crazy life with their best friends. To be completely honest, I'm glad my grandma, Bethany had Amberly as her best friend because of them, our family is huge. Even though we aren't all related by blood, we act like we are.

Then my mother Bethenny had two best friends, Jessica and Kimberly. They always come by, with their kids and I just love them all.

My mom tells me everything and vice versa. I can truly trust her, she's always there for me, just like my sisters.

"Hey, can you help me dye my hair?" Isabella asks as she holds a bottle of dye in her hand.

"Ask Ariella, I'm tired," I admit as I take off my shoes and begin to walk upstairs.

"Fine," she turns away and heads to Ariella's room.

I'm in need of a nap right now. I head to my room and my phone begins to ring.

Uncle Ryan

What could he possibly need?

"Hello?" I answer into the phone.

"Hey kiddo, are you busy?" He asks. He sounds far from the cellphone and it sounds like he's doing something.

"Not much, sounds like you are," I say as I sit down on my bed and place my shoes under my bed.

"I got a slight issue," he says closer to the phone.

"What is it?" I begin to worry.

"It's the twins," he replies. Oh, I know where this is going. "Jazmin isn't coming home until nine at night and I have to go to the hospital because Brian's father, Alexander is hurt."

My heart begins to beat quickly. Alexander is my grandfather's best friend. I love him dearest and now he's hurt. He's old, like in his sixties.

"Do you need me to take care of the twins?" I ask.

"Yes, if you can, please," he says. I can literally hear the way his voice shakes.

"I'm on my way," I say before hanging up. I pull my shoes from under my bed and slide them on quickly. I grab my keys and run down the stairs.

"Mom, there's an emergency and I have to pick up Alexander and Alexandra from my uncle Ryan's house," I say as I grab my jacket from the coat hanger.

"Is everything okay?" She asks, worry in her voice.

"Not exactly but I'll explain when I'm back," I reply quickly as I open the front door and exit to the driveway.

I unlock my car and slide in quickly. I have a Mercedes-Benz. I'm glad I didn't start off with those junk cars.

I drive off to the road as I type in uncle Ryan's address into my phone. I know I've been to his house many times but sometimes I forget how to get there. I'm usually in the passenger's seat when I'm going.

My mother must be worried, since uncle Ryan is her brother. She must think something is wrong with him, but he's absolutely fine. The one that's hurting is Alexander. The great man that makes everyone laugh with his crazy stories.

I arrive to uncle Ryan's house and Alexander and Alexandra are waiting for me at the door. They're so cute, those two.

"Hi Gaby," they say in sync. I look up to my uncle and he smiles at me.

"Thank you so much for taking them with you," he says as he walks out of the house and locks the door behind him.

"Of course, you know I'm always here," I smile over at him. There's pictures of him and my mother, when they were young, all over the place at home.

"I love you Gabs," he kisses my cheek, "I will probably spend the night with Brian at the hospital but Jazmin will be home at nine."

"Okay," I nod.

"You let her know if these two misbehave," he rubs the heads of his children.

They giggle and I smile down at them.

"I'll let her know," I wink.

We say our goodbyes and head for my car. They climb in the back seats. I look back at them and make sure they have their seat belts on. I drive off into the road and head back home. The twins don't speak much but they laugh at everything I say. It's cute.

It's funny how uncle Ryan would say he didn't want kids because he saw how mother struggled with me and my sisters but when he finally decided to make one, he got two. That's so hilarious to me.

A/N: Hey guys! So just in case you haven't realized, this is the sequel of a story I deleted called "Lost Diary". A few people got the chance to read it when it was up, so they are familiar with some names. Also, Lost Diary is the sequel of Not Too Far, which is still up. You don't have to read Not Too Far, to read this story but if you'd like, you are more than welcome to.
