What if you've been waiting this whole time for a new idea to fling itself into your noggin, but nothing's showing up. I have a solution☝🏼️
Find someone you trust and ask them to review your story. After they are done, be sure to let them know what you want to happen/how you want the story to end. It would help to find a fellow author, because they have experienced your situation and can give you advice. Receiving criticism from someone who has little/no experience in writing could definitely be a plus as well. That person can give you the input of a reader and what they look for in your story. Another thing that is insanely helpful when asking others to read your work:
You
Can
Easily
Avoid
Clichés
It's simple really, just ask them what will happen next, who they think will start dating, who will die, how the characters will bring down the bad guy, etc. and use that to your advantage. So, basically do the opposite of what they say. I mean, all readers will have different opinions and predictions, so you can't please everybody. (If you can, please let me know I'd love to have that superpower)
ANYWAY
My next chapter is going to be further tips on avoiding clichés, you have no idea how many people need that. It's not even funny. (Part of the chapter will be me ranting...)
Let me know if these tips helped you or how I can give better advice...
Stay tuned, thanks for reading!
