Keith had been seated on one of the bar stools, twirling a strand of his long black hair, looking down at a crossword puzzle. He wasn't to familiar with them but he decided 'why not?' Just hours ago Lance had been declaring his new partnership for Keith, now claiming Keith as his boyfriend, the thought still made Keith blush madly.
But as the boy was busy thinking of his now sleeping boyfriend, he failed to notice was the purple smoke swirling below his feet, heading towards the corridors where the Paladins had rested every night. It was thick and had a slight transparency to its appearance, making it not to noticeable.
Just rooms away a tan skinned boy lay peacefully asleep, his freckles glowing in the dark shadows of the galaxy. The breathing of his chest was steady and still.
Smoke was now approaching his door when the soft blue light of the control panel suddenly went out. The smoke shifted under the door and dodged around Lance's messy floor, filled with various food wrappers and old empty record sleeves. The soft nightlight that was alight besides his bed had begun to flicker and then within the blink of an eye had went out. The boys eyes were beginning to flick regularly under his eyelids, his arms began to twitch. Smoke was now rising, like a pale purple wave it rose and then crashed over the boys sleeping body.

"Carlos...." a soft whine came from the smoke.

Lance began to sweat and shift even move, his blankets now falling off his bed.

"Hey knew his life was more important..." the voice whispered again.

Lance's heartbeat increased and small groans of despair had escaped his mouth.

"I'm here Lance." The voice was now whispering, it's melodic voiced had rose into a unsure chorus, filled with many different voices, all shaky and breaking up.

"Come find me Lance, I'm over here!" The voice called out, the smoothness returning.

Tears escaped the boys sleeping eyes, his body now shaking. He couldn't seem to end this torture.

"Find me." This voice hissed.

The boy gasped and sat up suddenly.

"Carlos where are you?" The Blue Paladin whispered, eyes flinging open, blue orbs replaced by a deep foggy purple
color.

Keith heard a loud crash and his head Kearney towards the sound, dark eyes wide and alert. He scrambled out of his stool and grabbed his bayanard and jogged rather quickly to investigate. The corridor looked completely normal to Keith at first. He walked cautiously down the hall, clutching his weapon close to his side now. He approached Pidge's door and saw his young comrade fast asleep, they'd been working hard on a new device and had just crashed whenever. Keith continued on past Hunk's door to Lance's door. His hand grazed over the door panel without a glance and waited, but the door stayed closed. Keith tapped his hand again absent-mindedly but still nothing happened. His eyes travelled down and widened when he saw that in fact the light had gone out, which means no access. Another loud crash sounded, now much closer, in fact it was happening on the other side of the door. Keith landed a knock on the door.
"Lance? Are you okay?" Keith called softly, not trying to wake any of his fellow Paladins from their deep slumber.

Unsure mutters came from Lance's side of the door before Keith heard some feet shuffling.

Keith was about to knock again when one of Lance's words because as clear as a bell.

"Carlos...." Lance's sleepy voiced muttered.

"Lance? Why is the door broken?...I'm coming in okay?" Keith called.
He stepped back and let his bayanard transfer into a his signature long red sword. He raised its sharp blade and thrust it at the crease in the center of the door. It made a dent but not deep enough.
