Inevitable Love (The other half of me)
"Ahh hahahaha!" Kellen was on the ground laughing. He look at me his eyes full of amusement, but once he saw my face he stopped (or tried to stop) laughing.
He tried standing, but soon fell down because he was still laughing uncontrollably. He tried again, but I pushed him back down on the side walk. I sat beside him on the curb, waiting for him to stop laughing.
Three minuets. That's how long it took him to stop laughing.
"Are you done?" I asked quietly.
He took my face in his hands, and studied me for a while. "What's the matter?"
I shook my head not saying anything.
He sighed. "Axa, come on you know you can tell me anything, right?"
"Then go ahead."
I looked at him. I took a deep breath before answering. "Mum's going back to England."
He didn't reply. He let go of my face and faced forward.
We were quiet for nine minuets and twenty-seven seconds. Yes I was counting I have a habit of doing that when it's too quiet. Some people are afraid of the dark, some spiders, but me I'm afraid of silence. It's so loud.
Sit in a quiet room and listen.
What do you hear?
Exactly, it's loud isn't it?
Anyways back to what Kellen was saying.
"Why?" he asked in a low voice.
I sighed. "Dad wants to get remarried."
His head snapped up to my direction. "What? And your mom said yes! After all he's done to you guys, she's just going to marry him again?!?!"
I was surprised he would come to that conclusion. Gosh she knew better then that. "What?! No, of course not. Gosh, Kellen clam down. She would never do that."
He looked confused now. "Then why is she going to go to England?"
"My Father wants to get married, but they found some errors in His and Mum's divorce papers."
He nodded thoughtfully. "So, basically they've married this whole time?"
"Yeah, so now Mum has to go back to England to get re-divorced. If that's even a word..." I trailed off, lost in thought.
"Re-divorced. That's not a word."
I glared at Kellen. "Thanks Webster's Dictionary."
He chuckled. "Come on let's get you home."
We headed towards my house when a cool breeze passed by. I spread my arms out and threw my head back and twirled around in circles.
"Whooo!" I laughed. "This feels good!"
"Well it won't feel good when you get a cold." Kellen retorted.
"Aww, come on Kellen don't be a party pooper," I whined. "Enjoy the breeze."
"Axa, if you get sick, I'll blame myself forever. Now here," He shrugged off his jacket and handed it to me.
I pushed it away. "Come on Kellen stop being such a drama queen!"
Kellen groaned. "Axa." he said warningly.
