"Come in, Clare." I entered the call as my patient looked down on his knees. He was tied up on a chair and had no sign of moving.

"Hello, Clarence." He smiled upon me as his eyes were filled with delight.

"Hi, Mr. Kim." I replied, politely.

I am Clarence Vidwell. I was lived in Korea then moved to America with my Korean mother and American father. I never really aspired for anything, never really had something to chase for. I migrated to South Korea to see more of the world my mother had fed upon. It was something I had in my bucket list.

This man. This psycho, infront of me was none other than Taehyung Kim.

"I'd want to know why you specifically chose me as your interviewee in the midst of mental disorders." He had the weirdest look on his face.

"Because you are special," I simply stated as I opened my documents to ask him some questions. "Nobody ever wanted to choose you so I thought I'd give it a try." He laughed.

"I wonder why I am so special." He emphasised the last word in his sentence as he rocked his head from left to right.

"Say, Clarence.." He mouthed out as he slowly leaned in, despite the ropes that were fully locked in to tying his whole entire body.

"How do you fix a broken and removed piece?" He asked, unfazed as he stared into my eyes.

"You pick up the other pieces and glue it up."

"If only it was that easy." He sighed down.

"Why not?" I looked up at him. His face looked darker.

"Because it takes time, darlin'." He winked at me. His changes in mood terrified me.

"Please refrain yourself from calling me that, Mr. Kim. Now, can I interview you in peace?" He chuckled, "Of course, darlin'."

I looked at him with irritation in my eyes. He just shrugged without giving a shit.

"Huh, whole name?" I asked as I looked through the paper with the common questions to ask.

"Kim Taehyung." He replied.

"Age?" I asked.

"22." I stared at him as it was the same with mine, as well. "What?" He had a grin on, it creeped me out. No wonder they didn't choose him, it still intrigued me though.

"Nothing. Hobbies?"

"Knives. Acid. Laughter," He enumerated. "And.. you." He had this smirk that disgusted me, "Please, don't." I warned as he laughed loudly.

"Why do you do what you do?" This was a question not from my list. It made me curious as to what people like him do.

"I do it because I just do." He had the weirdest smile ever. "Alright, do you have a family?" I asked, not paying attention to what he did.

"Not anymore." He had this crooked look on. I couldn't figure out if he was happy about it or not.

"Why?" I continued to ask. "Because I killed them before they could to me." That sentence got me. What does he mean?

"Wel-" I was about to ask again, as usual. But the guard opened the closed cell to report to me that my questions will be saved for tomorrow.

I looked back at him, he still wore that smile that made me wonder.. what happened to him, what did he do, what does he do, and why he does it..

"Goodbye, Clarence." He mouthed out with a wink. I walked down the empty halls as screams and groans could be heard.

I watched as people would ask for my help. They were trying to escape the bars that were surrounded on them.

Everybody wanted to leave.. everybody doesn't want to live like this. So why did he look like he was having the most fun time in his life?

I walked out of the institute as my Mother greeted me and asked how it was. I shrugged as I knew I'd just say it was okay.

She and I entered the car, pacing towards home. I couldn't help but ask, "Mum?"

"Yes, darling?" Mum replied. It was the same as what Taehyung called me. "Do you know this psycopath called Kim Taehyung?"

"Yes, why?" She asked. I knew she'd flip as I was the one who'd have to stay for a year or two with him. I didn't tell her it was him.

"Nothing, what's his history?" Mother shrugged, "He's just very, very dangerous. As I was also a near victim of his." I choked on my own spit, "What, why?" I looked at her.

"I was just your age when I saw him as a child. Of course, he was Kim Taehyung. He was well-known as the smartest kid in school, but he wasn't in your school. I saw him choke somebody with his own hands, more correctly, it was his classmate. I don't know what commotion he made back then but I saw no remorse in his eyes. I walked in the road at night as I was buying milk powder for you. But I saw him in the alleyway. After seeing the scene, I ran," She confessed, still looking at the road.

"But. It didn't end there. After that, he'd come by the house and stare at me when I notice him outside. He thought I'd tell. I actually migrated to America and that's where you and me and Papa still lives. I heard he was arrested and sentenced to death. Thank heavens."

I bit my lip. She didn't know. "So who did you choose as to observe for the whole year?" I tried to think of a name.

"Oh Young." I replied.

"Oh Young? What a funny name." She giggled just thinking about it. I sighed in relief as she seemed to believe it. I looked at my window, wondering what I'd have to do in a year with him.

It was a new world for me but a normal day for them..

..and mine is about to become like theirs.
