And I know I would never be
Able to give you the love you had been
Asking for.

I tried to be the best friend I could ever be.
And I would love to be a friend
for the rest of my days on this planet,
But every time i see your face,
As my friend,
I am reminded that
This is not what you asked for.
I am reminded that
What you ever asked wanted,
Was love.
True, deep, unconditional love.
And every time I think of you,
I am reminded that
I can never be able to give
All these things to you.
Because hey,
The truth is,
This is what I'm lacking too.
After all,
What use is following someone,
Who is lost themselves?
