Standing at the edge of a cliff, Zoro scratched the back of his head. "Now where am I?"
It'd been several hours since he'd last seen Luffy and the young boy. He tried to follow after them when they ran off, but they made so many twists and turns that he ended up losing sight of them.
Dammit.
Even though he knew that Luffy could take care of himself, they were in dangerous waters. He didn't know what to expect and that alone annoyed him.
"Zoro? Zoro, is that you?"
Chopper appeared behind him with Robin at his side. The two of them had a backpack and a basket full of herbs, showing that their trip to the island wasn't a complete waste of time.
"Where's Luffy and Sanji?" Chopper asked, looking around for any sign of them.
Zoro kept his back to them. "I don't know."
"What?!" Chopper waved his hands around dramatically. "Don't tell me you got lost again!?"
Robin smiled down at Chopper and then lifted her gaze to Zoro. "We're headed to The Thousand Sunny," she said, adjusting the basket of herbs in her arms, "if you want to head in with us."
"I have to find Luffy first," Zoro said.
"I'm sure he'll be fine," Chopper said thoughtfully. "He always shows up eventually! And there doesn't seem to be anyone on the island!"
Zoro narrowed his eyes and out of habit, he grabbed the hilt of his sword. "We aren't the only ones on this island. We ran into a couple of marines earlier."
Chopper's jaw dropped to the ground. "What?! Marines?! Where?!"
"What happened?" Robin asked.
"They fed us, invited us to stay and then Luffy ran off with some kid."
Chopper dramatically collapsed. "They asked you to stay?!"
Robin frowned. "Why would they ask you to stay?"
"It's a trap!" Chopper exclaimed, jumping back to his feet. "They're going to call reinforcements and then try to capture us!"
Robin looked out at the sea, searching for any marine ships that might've sailed in. "Do you think they reported our whereabouts?"
"I doubt it, but I'm not taking a chance. They have associations with a specific marine."
Chopper tilted his head to the side. "Who?"
Zoro walked past them and towards the forest. Stopping at the foot of the brush, he glanced over his shoulder with a threatening look in his eye. "Akainu."
Stunned, Robin dropped the basket, herbs scattering all over the ground. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah. When Luffy barged into the house on this mountain, I decided to explore it-"
"You mean, you got lost?" Chopper interrupted.
Zoro glared down at him, but he continued. "I ran into an office with a portrait hanging on the wall. It was a portrait of Akainu."
"Do you think it was his office?" Robin frowned.
Zoro nodded. "Yeah."
"This isn't good!" Chopper ran in small circles. "This isn't good!"
"You're right, this isn't good." Robin knelt down and grabbed the basket that she dropped. Collecting the herbs, she looked up at Zoro. "Is Akainu on the island now?"
"I doubt it, or else we'd already be dealing with him," he answered.
Standing back up, Robin tucked the basket under her arm. "What do we do now?"
"Find Luffy and get the hell off of this island," he decided.
"Don't forget about Sanji!" Chopper added.
"The stupid cook can take care of himself," Zoro grunted.
Just before Zoro could disappear behind the brush of the forest, Chopper started to jump up and down while waving his arms wildly around. "Wait! Where're you going?!"
"I'm going to find Luffy. He might be back at the house we went into earlier."
Chopper pointed in the opposite direction. "But you're going the wrong way!"
Robin smiled and nudged her head to the left. "We passed a house on the way here. It's probably the same house. It's the only house up here."
Grumbling under his breath, Zoro changed his footing and headed in the new direction, the right direction.
