Hayley :)

"You slut, so Jesse gets to rescue you now and we aren't even told you're hurt? Traitor," Lissa hopped onto the bed, jostling me a bit making Jesse stare daggers at her. Lissa flipped her hair, rolling her eyes at him as he scoot closer to my side as if to protect me from her.

Demi strolled in just a little bit later, a look of guilt crossing her face. I wasn't the only one that took notice based on the snort from Lissa.

"She's embarrassed," Lissa explained. She looked pointedly at her as Demi leaned up against the wall, as far away from us as possible.

"I am not," Demi tried and failed to defend herself.

I raised an eyebrow and winced quietly at the pull from the stitches on my head. Glancing at Demi, I waited for her to explain.

Lissa sighed after a few awkward  silent moments passed.

"She just left your house, she was with her boo," she said, her words dripping with disdain.

Demi peered up at me with guilt etched all around her face. With a sigh I shrugged.

"It's not a big deal Dem," I murmured, entirely too tired to really think about all of the drama going on around me. Staring down at the hospital blanket, I wondered how long until I could leave this disgusting place. Someone next door to me has been puking for the last three hours and my mind has been slowly convincing itself I'm coming down with a stomach flu.

"So numb nuts, why are you still here?" Lissa grinned at Jesse and raised her eyebrows over and over, challenging him.

He narrowed his eyes at her.

She giggled. "Oh I'm just playing J, we all know you love her. It's okay, you can admit it finally," she challenged again.

With a sigh, he shook his head in response.

"Do you ever get less annoying? Ever?" he asked. He leaned his arms against the bed.

She glanced up, as if to think about it then shook her head.

"Alright Baby Dess, that's my cue then. Your friends have it from here," He smiled a soft smile, squeezed my hand and stood to leave.

Stopping short of the door, he glanced at Lissa and made a motion at his chin. "You got a little somethin here," he winked and left.

She rubbed at her chin and huffed out a breathy sigh.

"Whatever, okay so we have several movies picked out for tonight, Sex and the City first or Failure to Launch?" Lissa asked.

Demi perked up at that and smiled. "Failure to Launch!

Lissa glared at her. "You don't get to vote."

I stared between the two of them, wondering what I had missed since I last saw them.

"I agree with Demi," I muttered, attempting to sit farther up, but my head started to spin a little bit and my vision blurred.
