Dear who ever is listening,
I've never had a penpal before. I figured that it would be easier to tell a complete stranger all of my secrets and fears then to talk to my own family. But, the only way this will work is if we agree to a few simple rules. One, I don't want to send any pictures and I don't want to see any pictures of you. Two, I don't want to know your real name or where exactly live. Three, We will never meet. Four, I have a few secrets and a dark past that no one knows about.
If we break the rules, it could ruin anything. I just need a safe place to escape to. I've realized that I've found a sense of peace through writing and I hope sharing my story with a complete stranger will help me move forward with my life.
